Eggs aren't much by themselves and definitely need a pinch of salt for flavour, but I love them with bacon, as in 'bacon and eggs'. Poached or fried, I don't mind.
I do have trouble poaching as the egg tends to stick to whatever they are poaching in. I've tried the swirling water technique and failed miserably. So if you have a tip for the perfect poaching technique I'd love to hear it.

freshness is the trick. the best poached egg I've ever had went into the pan when it was still warm from the chicken, having retrieved it as soon as she emerged from the coop looking pleased with herself. it wasn't even laid overnight. they came out in the morning. no eggs. then she went back in, came out and I fetched the egg.
I get the pan simmering well, and break the egg into a cup. then add a little salt and a little vinegar to the water. the vinegar helps the surface set quickly, and be tidier. I use a whisk to work up a little whirlpool and tip the egg in. then leave it about two to three minutes, depending on the size. as it cooks, the swirly, traily bits all spin round and become attached, and the egg ends up perfectly shaped, with a cooked yolk and still runny in the middle. perfect.
but it has to be very fresh. the fresher the better.

Thanks for the advice, Galena.
I have tried "so-called" fresh eggs from Waitrose and Asda, but never from the coop. I will give it a go and see how it turns out. Ta x

That's just laziness. I bet you get someone else to break the shell for you too!

I like to boil eggs and then chop them with butter and alittle pepper. Eaten with toast and it is delicious. I also like them scrambled. I enjoy omlettes also with mushrooms and some other foods inside. Very good.

Eggs can be fried sunny side up, boiled, egg omelet folded with a filling of cheese, veggies ham or any of your favorite foods.
Poached egg is a good suggestion too, where you carefully slid an egg into a pan of simmering water and cooked until the egg white has mostly solidify, but the yolk remains soft. You can put a little vinegar in the simmering water to make a perfect poached egg.

I always scramble my eggs I don't make omeleta but I will eat them if someone else makes them. I do just scramble eggs with a bit of pepper and eat them like that or put it on some toast with or with out bacon.
