I've watched a recap of the Dallas Mavericks game against the Minnessota Timberwolves and I was impressed by their young point guard in Ricky Rubio. I've been expecting this young lad in the NBA for the past few years so i'm glad that he is finally in the league. He was great and he displays all around talent - passing, scoring and court awareness. He may be the next steve nash or john stockton. What amazes me is that he was very young still so there are a lot of improvements to come.
Have you seen him play? What can you say?

hello there. i am also impressed with the way ricky rubio dazzles in the basketball court. he is a great floor general. he does the quarterbacking job very well. he will get the guys around him look good. his lob and stunning assists will surely get kevin love and derrick williams great paydays ahead. i hope he will be voted in the all star game. i would love to see him throw lobs to LBJ, D-wade and Bad blake.

Right. When his passes were shown in slow motion, it seems like it was given on a wrong time but just then his team mate will catch his pass and you'll know that it was perfectly done. I haven't seen those kind of passes lately. I mean, there are always players who does fancy passes like Nash and Kidd etc. but this kid doesn't just pass for fanciness, he does it with point blank accuracy. Amazing!

yeah, there is a potential in ricky rubio to be great. however, greatness is defined by the longevity in the league. i remember watching jason williams with sacramento kings. williams was fantastic and amazing with skills in dribbling and passing. but where is he now? he is not even mentioned in the top point guards of the league, past and present. i wonder why you passed up, jason kidd, when rubio can be like nash or stockton.

My bad, I completely forget Jason Kid and yes I agree that he needs to proev himself worthy to be competing in the NBA before he can really be a star. I just compare him to some of the great point guards that immediately come to my mind when I say Stockton and Nash. But I also admire Jason Kidd especially when he was younger.

First of all too bad for him that he was injured I hope he will come back as good as he was this year. Now I have to say that I was surprised by Rubio's performance this year, as being a Euroleague fan too, I was watching Rubio and he wasn't so good in the last 2 years. Especially last year he was one of the main reasons his team, Barcelona, was off by my team, Panathinaikos, in the quartefinals of the Euroleague. But now this year so far he made a great progress in the things he wasn't so good. He is shooting better and he has better footwork if he keeps making those two better then combining them with his great vision and passing will make as a great player for the future.

Rubio has a lot of talent and he is still young. He has great court vision, and very clever. He may be the best point guard when the he ripens. I think he just need to develop his shooting skill, his agility and defense. Minnesota can possibly be able to join the playoffs since KG because of him.

Well, I've just watched the game between Timberwolves and Knicks. And you know what? Jeremy Lin, a young ethnic Chinese overwhelmingly overshadowed Ricky Rubio throughout the game. Moreover, he just embarrassed Kobe Bryant, the top-notch star in the association, right in his face. What impressed me most is Lin's humility. You got to get a load of this lad, Stuckonu.

Ricky Rubio is a great point guard. I have seen him when he was very young at FIBA tournament. He did perform well on that game and it was no surprise that he was drafted year after. Now he's an NBA player, he just makes crucial assists. He sees the floor very well that even we spectators would be surprised. I think he just need to develop his shooting and defense to improve his play. His ranking to become the rookie of the year is going up and hopefully he improves well as the season progress.
