...or not?
I think that i have been watching 'Dexter' too much. But its something we all think about,at one point or another.'Death Note' and other media also build on the theme of punishing criminals in ways that the law cannot.Society say that this topic is taboo. But this is mylot.
To me, a "killer" is someone who commits the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought" as the dictionary describes.
So mylotters, what do really think?
Just wanted to open this as purely for discussion.I appreciate your inputs.

I mean depending on the gravity of the crimes they committed and if not remorse even do the law give them the chance to change but still doing such crimes. They deserved to die stopping them to commit crimes again and kill many or violating others rights and property...
The bible quoted as if criminals will die the world in peaceful life. This is the basis why I said it because better for the criminals to die than those innocent people they are victimizing and killed...
What you choose to be die the good people or the criminals?

With the exception of defending another life, I do not believe that it is mortal man's place to take a life. I believe that yes, a murderer should die, but at God's hand, not man's. That being said, I have to admit that the human nature in me says that vicious criminals ought to be treated as they chose to treat their victims. I think if you can do unto others, then you should be willing to have it done unto you as well. I am grateful that I have a God who understands that I will make mistakes and have thoughts that are not "Christ like", and He forgives me.

We do not decide who should die and who should live. We are just human and God is the one who only knows everything. Have it occurred to you why criminals have done such bad things? I think there are always a reason or origin why they have done such things. A person with a sound mind and not insane cannot do that but we will never know what happened to a certain individual to put through such thing.

I totally get what your saying here vycess.
I too believe that somewhere there is always a story behind the sinful, circumstances which led them the wrong way.No person is bad its just that they are through a bad time.
But sometimes i wonder however bad the circumstances may be, a human life is priceless.

No I don't think killers should be killed. It doesn't bring back the person that was killed it won't really beige peace to that family they are being pain to another family as well. They are still a person under neither I all and I see it as if you kill a killer your no better then that person your a killer as well.

That's true it doesn't bring back the person who was killed.May be life sentence is appropriate punishment as it will remind the person every second of their wrong deed.

I agree with you. I think jail is the closet thing a human can get to he'll while they are living.

You should also ask did their victims deserved to be killed. On that way the ones here who said that no one deserves to die even a cold blooded killer will reconsider. The murderer who is not executed will unless he decides that that life is not for him, will go on killing. It might be after a ten year sentence, the next day, or thirty years after he gets out but he will kill again.
The trouble is that people think that these murderers are like James Bond with a license to kill and it is lifelong for them. Yes cold blooded killers deserve to be executed.
And the reason that is not happening is why there are people like Dexter even though it is a fictionalk character.

Following the Flood, God commanded, "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed". This is the standard, from which, in certain conditions, we should make exceptions (some actually laid down elsewhere in the Old Testament). But it is the standard.

I have a very divided opinion on this .. I would say genrally we do not have the right to take anyone's life as we are not God. But there will be some extreme cases, take the case of terrorists, like Kasab who mercilessly killed hundreds of innnocent Mumbaikars as if it were a sport..It really makes my blood boil thinking that the Indian govt is providing him such security now and he is leading a comfortable life.!!! I say people like those deserve to be killed but on a genral note I would say no.. Happy Mylotting

Crime against crime is not an answer to violence or justice! No one has the right to take others life for this is owned by god and he alone has the power to command on his possession, and god alone can give the rightful justice and punishment among his humankind!

In my opinion if your willing to take a life then yes you must be willing to sacrifice your own. And punishment usually does fit the crime. To murder someone is to end their life and as us being all equal then you too should have your life ended. Two wrongs do make a right and payback is a b*t*h!

My opinion is that the killers don't deserve to die but they deserve to be punished. A killer who kill an innocent person just for money or just for another small things , that man deserve to stay in prison for the rest of his life. Like i mentioned upstairs that the killer killers don't deserve to die but they deserve to be punished, i like to mention over here that not human decide when a person die or not and if whe do the same thing like a killer when wi punish him or her it means that we are not diferent from those people who killing another people.
