Does anyone have any ideas for teething pain? My son is 10 months old and he is cutting 4 teeth on top (best i can tell) his two front teeth and a tooth on each side of the 2 front teeth. I have tried several things ibuprofen, tylenol, oragel, teething rings, bones, teething tablets, frozen washrags and nothing is seem to ease his pain and he just cries all the time, it is proving to be a little frustrating to me and my husband, i cant stand to see him in pain so if anyone knows any little advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

There is a product called Humphries it is made out of a special type of honey which helps to soothe the pain. Teething rings also help, I know first hand because I had to use my babies teething ring whenI had a really bad tooth ache.

can you use it on babies that are under a year old? I know the rule is that you arent supposed to use honey on a baby under a year old.

The reason they don't say to use honey is because of the possibility of your baby getting a food poisoning called botulism, but this remedy was used by parents before all these studies were made. There have also been studies that honey is actually good for your babies development. I would consult with your doctor and get his feelings on thee matter, but i know my parnts used it on me, and I turned out fine.

what my mother used to do, and her mother and grandmother before her did, was to massage the gums with the fat part of your thumb, where the teeth were coming out at, just tenderly, and that would help the teeth break on through and massaging it like that, the pain actually numbs it naturally without pain relievers! Once it breaks through, the pain will subside considerably! I did it to all of my six children, and it helped them through that stage of getting their teeth!
