This question of course is only meant for women members, I am sorry men, but you can give your comments as well. I have only recently learned how to use liquid eyeliner and the effect of it is great. I know that I am still a bit awkward in applying this that is why I would like to know from you how you apply this perfectly. Do you apply it from outside going in or vice versa? Do you also apply the same on the lower lid? I only use it on my upper eyelid. How about you?

Liquid eyeliner is nice. Pencils do work good. If you search around perhaps online you can find a good eyeliner for a reasonable price. I buy my liquid eyeliner for one dollar at our local dollar store.

I use to apply liquid eyeliner daily. At first, It really seems to be difficult. You also need to make practice at home to be familiar with the application. Usually I apply it inside going outside. I wanted a Chinese look so to achieve that I use eyeliner. But be careful, It could be messy when the application is not right. You can also watch in Youtube to see actual application of it. I hope this help.

Yeah it's a good idea to practice. It helps out a great deal. Youtube is great for seeing and learning how to do things. I personally like to use liquid eyeliner when I know that I'm doing something important and that I will be out and about.

I do used liquid eyeliner I am a make up lover so yea I am good at applying my eyeliner but only for myself tho not for others. I can control the stroke of liquid eyeliner myself and I only apply on the upper lid to make my eye a little bit smaller since I have a round big eyes haha if you are trying to apply it perfectly good then I would suggest you to use the pencil type liquid eyeliner it's easy to hold for a stroke.

I am quite comfortable using the liquid base . I always use it on my own and on the upper lid . I have used it on the lower lid as well but it poses messy for me . I use it on the outside line and not in the inside as I get irritation . If you don't have a firm hand better to take help of someone else or otherwise it may smudge and make the eyes look untidy .

I agree the line of liquid eyeliner is smoother and looks better. I try to use it daily when I know that I will be running errands or doing something important. I'm striving to look the best that I can.

I haven't tried applying it myself because
I am not really good at it. However, my
make-up artist used it on me couple of times
on special occasions and I love the dramatic
effect. Sorry that this can't be of help.
I am still stuck though to the pencil eye liner
which I can apply easily without mess on my
upper and lower eyelids. If you want to get
more tips, try to have a look at those videos
in You Tube. There are lots there and I think
they are very useful. The best thing there is
that you see the make-up artists, amateurs and
professionals alike, applying the make-up
themselves, step-by-step.

Oh yes! I use black liquid eyeliner - and only waterproof. My eyes well up in tears all the time for some reason (especially if it's windy or dry or too cold) - so waterproof liquid eyeliner is the only way to go for me!! The regular eyeliner seems to fade away or get smudged easily - so I don't bother with those. I only use it on the lower lid. Like anything, it takes practice. I think of it as painting (my mom always said putting make up on is an art). I go from the inside going out. I start off "thin" to a point, making the center area a tad thicker, and leaving "thin" to a point.

I know many men who use eyeliner, but setting that apart, yes, I'm a female who uses liquid eyeliner. Pencil eyeliner tends to get smudgy easily, and it doesn't look as sharp as the liquid one. Liquid eyeliner lasts longer, and it's easier to remove afterwards too.
In my case I only apply it on my upper lid, as I have very long and curly eyelashes, and it's a pain trying to apply any kind of makeup in my lower lid. Also, I usually start from the inner corner of the eye.
I think it was a good choice for you to learn using liquid eyeliner

I use liquid eyeliner occasionally. Usually if I have enough time to apply it. Unlike pencil eye liner, the liquid one requires more focus. =) And if I'm on a rush, I use the pencil eyeliner or just leave it natural. And yes, i only use it on the upper lid.

Based on my routine, I apply it from the middle part of the lid then back again to the portion nearing the eye. I guess its quite difficult thats why I refrain from using liquid eyeliner. I only use powder, mascara, blush and lipstick since my skin is quite ok.

I just tried it recently because I had this co-worker who applies eyeliner perfectly! She said she uses liquid eyeliner so I had to buy myself one and try it. Well, what do I know! Liquid eyeliners are actually better than pencil! They are easier to apply because they glide smoothly and they are easier to erase. Because they are liquid, once you apply them incorrectly, you can easily remove them by water since they don't settle on your skin yet. Something like that.
I only apply it on my upper lid though. Haven't tried the lower lid but I don't really want to put it there. It makes me look like a zombie I think. It must be weird but I apply from the middle going to the outside then I complete the inner half.

hello cutie18f :)
Yah I do use liquid eyeliner. It is my favourite make up because I, okay people say I have good eyes. I start using eyeliner since I graduated from high school, it is about six months ago. I need a months to use it perfectly, I always try how to apply it perfectly after going out. When I can do use it, I start to use it whenever I go. I can't even go out before I do my eyes.
I apply it from the inner corner of eye and pull it out, sometimes I use cotton buds to tidy it. I only use eyeliner on my upper eyelid. For the lower eyelid I use pencil liner. :)

I have been using liquid eyeliner for long time.. To me its the perfect. I use it when i want my eyes to be the centre of attraction as being jet black its a bit loud as compared to the pencil one i use it when i want my eyes to be light or minimal..
I allways apply it from in to out and i use it only on my upper eyelid and on the lower either i use kajal or pencil eyeliner.

I agree. Liquid eyeliner is perfect. I have been using it for a few years now. I agree that it really does make our eyes stand out when we use liquid eyeliner. Yeah I usually use it on the top eyelid and a light line on the bottom.

it's a shame that the question is only for women (although why it's "of course" only for women baffles me)
because men in eyeliner are very very sexy.
liquid eyeliner is quite easy to apply, as it doesn't drag. the way to get better is practice. it's easier to start from the inside of the eye to the outside, and then you get a nice little flick in the corner.
I don't use it along the full length of the lower lid, just a very little amount at the outer corner.

Don't worry, it's something that you'll get the hang of after a few times. I used to be a huge eye pencil user as I was scared of making mistakes with liquid, but now I use both. I usually draw a wing on the corner on the outside and then join from the inside in small strokes. I find liquid liner is nice for night looks and bolder lines. I have used it on both upper and lower lash lines, it might be easier for you to control if you get one shaped like a pen.

I have liquid liner too and I used it for some time only. Maybe I am too lazy to apply it so I quit putting it on. The fact that I am not good in using it also made me quit using that I bought it because I saw my friend used it so smmothly on her eyelids she even put it on me and taught me how but my hands are trembling whenever I put it on. It takes a lot of time for me to do it perfectly. And now I gave up. I think it's all dried up now.

I have tried putting on a liquid eyeliner, but too sad for me it ended up being messy. I just prefer the pencil liner for myself as it is much easier to apply on.
