Hi fanta,
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. But yeah you are also right, some people might use our photo to fool someone else and we may never know it. But if you sure you have friends there whom you really know and trust - it's okay. And as long as there is no obscene photos of you and your family members I don't see anything wrong with that.

Hi sis!
I don't upload my photos on facebook not because I worry someone will steal it but I just don't want to yet still some of friends share photos which include me inside without my permission- can't do anything so I just removed the tag with my name on it. Me myself I don't do it. If I upload some photos it will not show of myself but maybe some things that I have etc. You may upload your family photos if you want to. No one can stop you~(^^)

I am fine, thank you sis~ Hope you and your family is good as well.(^^)
I used to upload some of my photos not long ago but then I decided not to share any photos with my face there online so I removed every photos I have in Facebook and other sites that have my face on it. Make sure you asked for their permissions. Some dislikes their face to be in 'public'.hehe...(^^)

Dear friend,
I feel it is not much a problem if the photos are not misused by others. Moreover the privacy part of it can also activated if you wish to share it with those whom you want to. Moreover if liked by other the photo could give a mark in like option. I could see there are lots of facebook people sharing their family photos. I feel is would be nice one to share nice photos. As every one like to see nice photos...

Fanta, i don't really like to upload my family photos in facebook. In fact, i never upload any photo of myself and even my family in facebook. I am very careful as not to allow any unwanted people to use any of my photo for other purposes. That's why, i prefer to upload other picture onto my facebook's profile. Even i had warned my sisters, who like to upload their photos, as to lock their profiles, so only their own friends and family are allowed to see their photos. Hope you do think twice before you upload your family photos in facebook.

hi:)
I also don't upload too much photos on facebook because I heard some incidents that many posers are using fake photos to do bad things online. but it's okay if you really know all your friends there and when your account is in private... or just limit the views to your family members and close friends.

it depends if your account is exclusive to people you personally know, friends and relatives, it is alright to upload those family pictures to share to these people. If you don't want others or public to view or see it you can just adjust the privacy settings of the photos or albums to be viewable only to certain people or to friends on your list.

Hi fanta!
You could upload your family pictures. There is provision of 'privacy settings' in your FB profile. You could do the setting in such a manner that only your 'friends' (listed in the FB) could see it, no other person, who is not your friend could see your picture.
Don't worry no one will copy your photo and sell it.
BTW, I gave you my FB details through PM but I have not received any request from you to add you in my list.

What you could do if you want to keep your photos for selling, is to reduce the quality of the photos so that they wouldn't be much good for printing and put them up on Facebook. You could also use photo software to type in the word, "Copyright" across the photo and putting other details of owenship, so that people can see the photo but it would take far too much work to erase the writing from the photos.. I have seen this done on many professional photo sites and it would make people think twice before stealing a photo. Facebook can show people what you have, and if they are good photos, then they may want to pay for them from another site, if you have the information written on the photo. Just ideas.. _Derek

You can upload the pictures with no problem. If you are worried about the wrong people getting a hold of them just make to put that only people you choose to be friends with on facebook can see the pictures. That way only your own family and friends will see them and strangers that you do will not. If you do it that way it should be OK.

you can put your facebook in safe mode nor in privacy mode where only your friends cansee the stuff you uploaded in facebook, in my case i only have friends and family and relatives as my friends and i put my account in privacy so no outsiders can see my entire profile or other stuff in my page including my pictures. uploading pictures is also good things to let my family and friends see my updated photo and looks and whats going on with my life now specially if i didnt see them fr many months nor years.

Hi fantabulus, I have just uploaded some pictures on Facebook. Yes, I have heard all the horror stories of people stealing photos from Facebook, etc. It is indeed a security problem. But then, I want to share my pictures with my friends and family, so I am not going to stop sharing them via Facebook just because some sinister people MAY steal it.
Just because I may get hit by a car does not mean that I am going to stay a hermit in my own house. Same reason, just because people can be bad does not mean I am going to stop doing things I want to do.
Anyway, to sum up, it is upto you to decide whether you want to share your pictures or not.

You can always post photos of your family in Facebook. You need not worry at all. Just make sure you set your privacy correctly. Limit those who could access your photos. You always have this choice at FB. Just do it and you are always safe in uploading photos you want published. In fact you can even make the album private for you alone to see.

Yes I encourage you to upload your pictures so I can steal them and pose as you but oh I can't because your security is set to be viewed by friends only.
Yes, there are security issues on facebook but they have security settings which allow only your friends to be able to view almost everything on your account. I suggest you set whatever information you don't want to share publicly to "by friends". That way, what you have to monitor are the people you accept as friends. Accept those you know only and those you feel are worth being your friend on facebook. Personally, I accept and add those I know with an exception to pretty girls =) So do what you want and try looking around settings to know more.

Facebook is great for storing and sharing photos. You can upload your family pictures, and change your privacy setting. There is an option there that only family will see this, only this person can see this. There are a lot of choices, so it's up to you. And last only add those people who are really close to you, or you know. There are a lot of scams out there.
