I don't know what to say when I saw this picture. I am always seeing nice pictures in Facebook and seeing this one made me cry. I immediately shared the picture, but I wonder if it's true that Facebook will pay 3 cents. It's not clear if it's Filipino or US currency. It's not also clear if the payment will be given to the baby for his operation.

can't seem to get through your link but i'm guessing this is one of those chain messages going around about facebook paying a certain amount for the operation of some patient. but i'm pretty sure these aren't real. i mean, if facebook (or anybody else with the same idea) really intends to do such, they would officially announce it so that everybody knows.

I am sorry to say that it's not because of settings. I tried to access it again, and it's no longer working on my end. I would just like to repost the other link. It is http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/cancerbaby.asp . I apologize for the inconvenience.

No, this is a HOAX. Facebook will NOT pay anything at all for sharing that page or any page.
This sort of hoax is very old and emails which claim that Microsoft or Bill Gates will pay every time an email is forwarded were once quite common. This is just a variation on the same thing.
Read Snopes.com for the history of this kind of silliness: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/cancerbaby.asp
Why people start this kind of thing (and why others are so gullible to act on it) is another matter, of course. It may just have the motive of "look what a fuss I can create" or the person starting it may have a darker purpose of somehow clogging up the Internet or something.

Everyone in facebook is fed up of referral links.Nobody wants to join in any program. They simply surpass that post and go to some interesting ones. Most of my friend condemn this referrals concept.I don't know where to share my referral links now.I have not found any referrals yet.

I bet it is worth sharing for...but I just hope facebook will not charge. They are already rich and earning a lot of money from the website itself. It is quite unfair if it will go like that. We fb users bring traffic to their site.

i receive a lot of things about it before but i dont know if it really works as maybe its only one way to get into your conscience like if you really want to help them then you will give out big money to help them like a donation. though i really cant judge them maybe its true i dont know.

We have to know and check if this is really true. Nowadays there are many hoax news everywhere. If it's true then good for the baby but if not well too bad.

Yes, aicasalinks. We always have to check. Right after checking, I removed my share from my Timeline. It's indeed frustrating that scammers are using innocent children. For more information, you may check the link that I reposted in my previous comment.

Hi wittynet, like other members mentioned, the link does not work. Probably removed or something.
Anyway, I am not sure if Facebook will give money to any family just because someone shared a photo whatever times.
Saying that, even if the baby and family do not receive money from Facebook, I still think it is worth it that you shared the picture, thereby getting their situation or their needs heard by as many people as possible.

I don't know if it is true. But if it's true a lot of people would be so happy! since, facebook is earning millions, why don't share it, right? LOL. But don't believe anything like that, a lot of people here also don't believe it.

i am not quit sure this time. sometimes when i opens my face-book account there are some picture ,who says is you share or like this it is helpful particular person or cause.but i do not think if this is possible or not.
but the picture you provide is not opening.sometimes it may be for the promotion of the anything. but haven't heard about that face-book pays for share and like. may be i am wrong.
but if this can happens then it is very easy way to earn money from face-book.
