Why Do You Hate Islam?

Thank you for writing. I am glad that you don't hate Muslims. One is only wasting their energy when they hate anyone (whether Muslim or otherwise). Yes, in order to have an intelligent discussion and to better understand each other, we should all be willing to be open to the fact that we all have freedom of religion. I think Christians and their religion is fine too. If not, I wouldn't be a true Muslim because alot of what is in the Bible is also taught as truth in The Holy Quran.

Thanks for your comment. I am a Muslim who is taking a stand to let people know what Islam is truly about. It is not every religion that has bad people in it, but it is every person that has some degree of bad in them regardless of their religion. We all need to take a stand against wrong, regardless of the religion the wrongdoer claims to be apart of. If someone has true religion in them, they would spend more time on righteous acts rather than unrighteous acts.

I am Muslim and have been born Muslim, so I love Islam. I never said that I think every one here (myself not included) hates Islam. I am only asking the question to those who do hate Islam or dislike it based on their not understanding the religion. If one does understand Islam, they would not hate it. Thanks.

Islam does not teach having women supressed. Men and women are seen as equals. You are referring to cultures in the Middle East that have harsher laws in their country, and this has nothing to do with the teachings of Islam. Supressing women in other countries is based on culture, not Islam. Sura 4 Ayat 124 says: "If any do deeds of righteousness,-- be they male or female-- and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them." Sura 4 Ayat 125 says: "Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah (swa), does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in faith? For Allah (swa) did take Abraham for a friend." In other words, it's your faith that makes you the "better" person, not whether you are male or female. Thanks.

Remember, there are terrorists in the White House too. Those who kill innocent people wrong their own souls. Yes, no true religion (Islam, Christianity, Jewish)teaches terrorism. Jihad is fighting for the cause of Allah (swa). He does not want Muslims to kill the innocent in His name. When this happens, this is not true Jihad and will not be accepted by Allah (swa). A true Muslim does not take the Quran out of context to make their wrongs seem right. Thanks for writing

Thanks, but how can you hate Muslims when Islam teaches Muslims to love Christians. Sura 3 Ayat 113 says: "Not all of them are alike: of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (for the right); they rehearse the Signs of Allah (swa) all night long, and they prostate themselves in adoration." I don't care why you hate Muslims, but I am more concerned that you don't list "reasons" to back it up. Hatred has no place to go if those you hate release your hatred by loving you back.

Thanks. The more you read Quran, the more you will have a deeper understanding of Islam. Muslims read the Bible too. One must be knowledgable on as many subjects as possible.

Thanks. You need not believe in any religion, just believe in God and you will share in His Kingdom. Islam is a way of life (giving you guidance on how to live a righteous life). Islam is only called a religion as a means of categorizing it on a level that the everyday person can understand.

Thanks. It is your belief in The Lord that sustains you so that you have no need to hate because He provides you with what you need. Muslims and Christians believe in the same Lord anyway, we call Him by a different name-- Allah (swa).

I say this because I have read many negative comments on various posts at MyLot. I just want to set the record right with the truth.

Thank you for keeping an open mind. It is true that one should do their own research rather than just listening to the media's negative comments about Islam. The negativity should be directed towards the individual, not the religion.

Thank you for responding, but there must be Islam because Allah (swa) needs to only say "be" and it is. This is true for anything, not just because we're hot, but I get your humor.
