Thinking I may get one, was thinking I'd go out and get it but looking at amazon and they have good prices so may go with them instead. Anyone who has an adroid tablet of any brand please let me know what you think of them and anything you think I may need to know about them.
Why did you decide to get an android tablet if you have one
and if you don't have one, Would you consider getting one after reading my responders?

If you are thinking about getting a tablet I would definitely recommend it. If you want something you can take on the go and use anywhere WiFi is available then a tablet is just what you need. Android has a much larger market of tablets so I would definitely go with android over windows. I got one that was an off brand and for it not being a name brand it still does great. Got it on Walmart online and it was only around $145. They have $99 tablets also that are pretty cool, but simple. They are a great start for a first time tablet owner.

Thanks. It will be my first time using a tablet but I have used android phones before. I still have more things I need to find out about them, but I still think I'll definitely get one, and maybe eventually a laptop. haha, the tablet just intrigutes me.

Yeah, if you have used Android phones before then I do not see any problems. Of course they do some different things they are still similar operating systems so that is good. I think if you are on a restricted budget it is great to go with a tablet to save money, especially is you are just using it for normal every day internet activities. It is really cool!

I've thought of a Kindle Fire, but I'm not sure. I do like to read and having one of thsoe would make me read more, but well does it really double as like a normal tablet? Ipads are too expensive!

So it is a good little on the go entertainer / catching up on your reading? Hmmm. I also want a tablet for the break room at work (where I could use it at work when on break) and for late nights when there's nothing else to do. I don't know I just like the idea of a tablet and this computer just isn't cutting it anymore. There's so many things that are disabled that I don't know how to enable, and since it's not mine I can't go messing around trying to.

If it does then I have not yet found it Lots of free books to download plus you can surf the web and check emails and write emails. Videos and things like that. I love it. It is small enough to carry around and and I use it when I am in line queuing up in the bank or the tax office etc.

Hi SCG!
I do not have a tablet or a phone which runs on android.
However, I have heard a lot about android applications and its speed.
I would love to buy an android based tablet phone.
You could go for it and I hope it will prove useful for you.

I have one of the Samsung Galaxy Tabs and I don't like it at all. There were a few things that I liked about it when I first got it, but I had to get a new phone, which happened to be an android and I can do all of the same things with it, it's just not as big. I will probably be selling my on ebay, because it is not worth the extra payment each month.

Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab android powered? I forget. Well hmm, it won't be any fun if it's just like a phone then. I don't know I'm thinking as I do want to get an android phone. I'd kind of like an Kindle Fire, but a bit too pricy.

I don't have an android tablet, but I have an iPad.
I used to have an android phone, so I am familiar with the some of the apps.
I would definitely recommend an android tablet. The problem with the iPad (and with my son's iPod Touch), is that it doesn't support flash.
And iPads (ours, at least) is a bit slow. So, maybe it is worthwhile to get an android tablet.

Hmm, that and the Ipad is expensive. I am familiar with android so maybe I'll go with it. Ipad's do seem to be all the rage though, but I guess it's because Apple is such a huge company. They were like the father of computers.

At present i do not need an android tablet or even a smart phone.Another reason is that i cannot afford to buy one and moreover i hardly ever use my mobile phone,so to go for a tablet is i think a waste of precious cash.Since i am retired and not earning and with the high expenses at home i feel buying a tab is an unnecessary expense for an expensive toy.
