Another discussion of my friend made me wonder about this. You know I used to love my country but having lived so many states in it that I hate because of weather, the peoples attitudes and or frienliness/not frienliness I have come to the conclusion, Id love Ireland. Ive never really been there, but reading about it, seeing pics, and meeting some from there, I think Id love it. I really think Id love to live in Ireland my last days. Of coirse Id like to have my kids there also. What about you? Have you ever dreamed of living elsewhere? Ireland is so beautiful. and i hate desert like Arizona here and/or to much rain and snakes like Florida has. yes ive never seen Ireland up close but i think it would be idea to live there for the sake of the beauty and no snakes

I have lived in many, many states. Being married to a Navy man you are fortunate or unfortunate to have to move around a lot. Now retired with an engineering job the though of settling looked promising but that isn't the case either. The job also moves from one state to another depending upon the length of time on a contract. Right now we are packing for our 54th total move.
What I would love is to be able to settle in one place for more than 2 years at a time.
An idea place would be Hawaii, although it is expensive. Second choice is Florida, more practical place to retire when we decided to do that. We would love to go back to his birth place in France and have a long stay there before we settle down to retire in a warm weather area.

id recommend Hawii rather then florida. i hated it. rained most all the time or else so hot and humid you couldnt stand it and the snakes, giant spiders, wasps, rats, about anything disgusting is there. and the trees have all that crap moss dirty looking stuff on them. yuck

Florida isn't the only state with all those creatures and critters...in fact they are just about everywhere. The trick is to find a town or city that people care about their property and neighborhood.
I have been to Florida and there are really nice areas and others not too great. Same for every state.
Haven't been to Hawaii...definitely want to visit there one day. Living there would be hard since it is expensive.
Sorry you didn't like the section of Florida you visited or lived in. Hope you are happy where you are currently.

hi dear bunnybon I dont know much about the US and only have been to Southern California so far but I would fear the earthquakes there.
I would like to live in the UK but I guess my husband would not bee too happy with this as he doesnt speak English very well he just isnt the type of person who enjoys learning languages so he would be kind of lost.

I have been very lucky in the state where I live. We have had some weird weather but nothing real severe where I live. I have visited many states buy only lived in this one. I would also like to live in Ireland too for awhile and see what it is like there to live that is. I have always wanted to visit Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Mann but i realized years ago that my daughter needed me and that I could never afford to travel there.

Nice question, i was thinking... there are so many things i have not seen like snow. I used to tell my parents how i wish we live in the USA or maybe in Europe! lol.
But when i look back at that answer, i am cringing now. lol i hate cold places, i cannot even stand our airconditioning, if it wasn't for the kids i would not use it... so i guesss i would remain here in the Philippines.. it may not be the most peaceful place on earth...but heck i am used to this place.

i feel the same about air conditioning. in fact in summer here my son often freezes me if i dont complain. but snow even though iys cold is quite fun to play in for a few minutes. then go in and get warm by the fire and drink hot cocoa or coffee.

I would love to go back to Thailand or somewhere else in Southeast Asia. If you go into the smaller communities it is very friendly especially for foreigners. I would definitely stay away from Bangkok and other bigger cities and try to live like the locals do.

I would also like to live in Ireland but, not sure of the dampness there, you always see people wearing heavy sweaters. It is so beautiful in pictures. I also have a bit of Irish in me. Another place we would like to live is in Maine, it is so beautiful there too.

I honestly don't think that I could imagine living anywhere but where I live right now. The reason that I'm so happy living in Kentucky is because of the fact that all of my immediate family and also most of my friends live here. In addition to that, most of my extended family is within easy driving distance for us as well.
With that said, I would like to have the opportunity to do a lot more travelling in my life that I've never had the opportunity to do yet.

I would love to live in South Korea. :)) I've been learning Korean since last year and I wanna practice speaking it. Also, I'm a Kpop fan, and it'd be really great to be closer to the agencies I want to get into--it's my dream to be able to enter as a trainee on one. ^_^ It's why I've been learning the language in the first place--of course they will require good pronunciation.
I've been applying for jobs there for some time now. Wish me luck! Really hope that a company that's based there will hire me soon! :))

It's Korean pop music. Even though most people can't understand the words in a song, as long as the song is really beautiful, they are able to appreciate it. (Because it's all in Korean, with a few English thrown in.) :)
I live in the Philippines. And I'm gonna visit Korea soon (this spring)! :))

I live in Georgia. If I could live anywhere I would want to live on the big island of Hawaii. There are several islands there but I would like to live on the big one. Not where all the tourists go but where the people live.

Oh you know, there's definitively I place I would love to live in more than any other thing, and it is Finland. it's such a fantastic first-world country, where welfare can be felt anywhere you go, with over 70% of it's land covered by lakes and forests, one of the lowest densely populated rates, world's best educational system, civilized and modern people, civil rights, little immigration, lovely weather, odd natural phenomena like midnight sun or aurora borealis. Ahhh, yeah I'd love to live there.

I have always dream of living in Switzerland. Love to live in the rural part of this country with its virgin forest and non polluted air. I have always dream of living in the woods or top of the mountains where life is simple. I want to go picnic in the luscious green grass and roll over the hills. Its like the setting of the old cartoons I have watched. It seems that their life is complete even without TV,Cellphone computer and etc.

Hi bunny,
I could not agree with you. I know there are many problems in my country. Most of the people are poor and many live in slums. Cities have no modern facilities. Still I don't want to leave my country. Because I love this land where I born. America is dream to many of my fellow countrymen. A good number of people are living there. But they are not in good condition and leading hard life. Ireland may be a beautiful country. But you will feel there lonely. Irish people will always look at you as a foreigner.

Ireland is beautiful from what I have seen. I have never got to got here either. I would love to visit a ton of places but I am not sure where else I would want to live. I might have to travel the US a little more before I decide on that..lol..there are places left unseen for me. I really want to go to Canada, but as far as live there...I might be too much of a sissy for the weather.

I live in Florida and i dont mind where i live in Florida at all. Its actually been pretty here all week long and friends have been writing on facebook that they were going to the beach to enjoy this nice day, but im stuck at work so going to the beach doesnt exist for me. Now i like living where i am because im 1.5 hours from orlando so im pretty close to having theme parks and alot to do around me and im actually 1.5 hours away from being in Miami as well. So i like were im centrally located in Florida and wouldnt change that for anything because if i drive just a little i will have something to do and that doesnt bother me at all. I usually am always busy and dont go to orlando and miami that much so i like being where i am since my family all lives where i am too.

Hi, Bunnybon, for me this is not an easy question. There are so many beautiful places on Earth that to pick one of them is a difficult task. But I have a dream - again an impossible one - to make a travel around the world. For me the ideal life would be a travel in many places. Now severe snowstorm are raging in my country but in Spain they have a mild winter. Maybe not now but in my next life I'll be able to travel as much as I want.

Hello bunnybon7,
I know Ireland is good place to live but its too cold there as i don't like winters as in my country too it becomes difficult for me to go to work in cold.
If i get a chance i would love to live in JAPAN as i have heard its a good place and its lot of modern technologies there.Being an Asian weather too suits me.
