Do you write down your ideas? Like, when you thought of something, be it an idea, or theory, your philosophy. Would you jot them down or will you just keep it in your head? Well, i tend to keep them in my brain though. The bad thing is, i might not be able to recall them as quick if i didn't write them down. I know writing them down is a form of good habit, and it enhance the mind. but im not used to them. I would love to just keep everything running in my head. There are some people who would have an idea book with them, and would write down whatever things they think about at any time and any way. What about you? Do you write them down? :D

It depends in the situation. When a pen an paper is within my reach, I jot them down but If it is not within my grasp I just hoard them inside my head. I do believe that by writing them down you can easily remember it.

I used to simply hoard ideas inside my head, but started losing track of them gradually. so my husband suggested that I write them down when they were still fresh, now I have started doing just that. try to jot them down in a diary as soon as an idea pops up, but sometimes I do forget yet!

Yes, I have a small notebook & pen in my bag. I do not only write ideas that I though of but I also jot the things that I read that fascinates me. I would often re read my notes on my spare time. For me, it is one way to remind myself of the things that I have read & experience.

I try to write things down so as not to forget them but sometimes that is hard especially when I'm at work.

I write things down when they come to mind. With all the things that happen in a day it is easy to forget a really good idea, story plot or article base. A small journal for just those writing ideas will keep them from getting lost or forgotten. Then when you have time to organize them they will all be in front of you in black and white or typed on the computer for you to start creating the next masterpiece.
Not many people can remember everything they think of or in the same wording the first time around. Jotting them down will help keep it as fresh as it was when you thought of it, especially if you don't get to write that piece for days or weeks later.
Cheers to bright ideas!

I do like to jot down my ideas and I in fact blog about my ideas and theories and philosophy. I find it helps a shift through my thoughts when I write them down. I dont like having everything run in my head it keeps me up at night.

Ever since I was a kid I've kept a note book in my bag and if I was ever going out without my bag I'd just keep a pen on me... sometimes the back of hands get a little over crowded XD
This isn't so helpful when I'm at work though.I work in a little cafe and at the end of the day, while the boss is doing the paper work and I'm cleaning up, I do a lot of random thinking. Mostly it's nothing noteworthy, but sometimes a train of thought sparks a blog post. unfortunately my notepad is in my locker all day and I'm constantly washing my hands so notes get rubbed off.
This is where my love for my mobile phone comes in. I can throw a few sentences onto my blogger app for a proper write up when I get home from work, or even just tweet myself a reminder.

I don't always write down my ideas, and I think that it is a shame because a lot of the ideas that I get the most excited about are ones that I eventually forget about because I haven't taken the time to write them down or anything like that. I need to change the way I write things though because I need to ensure that I always have a pen and paper with me so that I would be able to record the things that I have been thinking about. I know that my writing would benefit a lot from this as I would be able to see my ideas as and when they're developing.

No i do not have the practice of jotting down whenever i get an idea. I speak it out immediately to my family members. I can remember quite a lot of things so can fish our my idea from my mind when necessary. Happy mylotting.

Hi! I find that writing them down help a whole lot. I have this notebook that I carry around with me in my bag wherever I go. It's not a diary or journal. Just a regular notebook. I always have a pen with me, too. So if I am out of the house and an idea suddenly forms in my head or I come across some information I need to remember, I take out my notebook and pen and start writing. At least I'm not pressured to remember them. All I have to remember is that I wrote down something. Hahaha! I used to think that I can remember things very well. But there are days that start out pretty slow and then you get slammed with work the whole day that so much stuff gets mixed up in your head at the end of the day. You forget which were important to remember. I guess this comes with age. Hahaha!

I write everything down that I am feeling or things I want to remember. This way I will have them later on if I need or want them. I love keeping a journal. It has helped me so much through the years.
Matter of fact I have a journal from when I was just dating my husband and I love to read it now because so much has changed, I have changed and matured and it is so cool to me to look back at that. When I don't feel like I have become a better person than I used to be I read that and realize just how different I really have become. =)

It is a good habit to write down the ideas that come into our minds. It might be very interesting when we read them some time later. But I don't do it. I once made up my mind to write the things I learned everyday. I did that for a period of time then I quitted it. It is very hard t keep a good habit.

I actually used to write done my discussion topics here but i barely ever do that anymore and therefor i never start discussions becasue i forget about what i was going to start a discussion on because i forgot to write it down. Oh well i guess it doesnt bother me but what does bother me is that i forget to write down my grocery list or items that should be on my list so i end up forgetting something at the store that i needed. I usually have to write down everything because i cant remember alot so writing things down is the easiest way for me.
Have a great day mylotting.

It actually depends on the situation. When a pen and paper is within my reach then I jot them down, but If I don't have a pen and paper on my side I'll just hoard them on my head and just let it go.

My memory isn't too good so I always choose to jot down my thoughts and ideas. I have realized that whenever I miss writing down my thoughts I generally forget them after a few days. It would be extremely difficult for me to pick up the selected idea from the snarled-up mind later, so writing down everything instantly is my way.

well I write it down because keeping it in my head is quite hard usually if you get destructed it goes away,
idea comes and go it's just like opportunity when it goes it's hard for you to make it come back
