So some of my fellow myloters have responded to my previous discussion about "Playing with fondant and an amazing invitation" where is stated that i was invited for a cake decorating competition along with another 3 member (consisting of 4 members per group). Also it was the reason i cant do mylotting (partly lets say 40%) due to the fact that i may get the urge to post the cake picture, but since its already 3 weeks from the actual day that we submit the pictures i think its okay now... The whole practice was insane , we have to practice our piping skills (I didn't contributed to that).Rox and Kath where the one responsible for piping and covering the cake and they did great I was just sad they didn't incorporate other piping styles that they practiced. I and Fay did the fondant and cake and that (weird looking fondant woman haha...) for the cake the crown is actually made of fondant(it has a support metal wires...), we even have hard time looking for a Wilton paste food coloring to achieve that kind of blackness, aswell as the red fondant same problem for the icing but we finally solved it (we found a wilton food coloring paste ). And those tiny swirls on top of the crown are mini pavlova made by me (out of boredom and finally was decided to be incorporated in the design). The whole concept of the cake is about our festival the "Kaamulan Festival" held during mid Feb until late March to reflect our uniqueness I hope... Im not sure/hoping for our group to be qualified there are so many schools joining and i think the chances are .... thin... but it was a nice experience for me and the rest of the group

This has got to be very exciting for you and your group to be able to put your creation into a contest for all to see and admire. Wishing you the best of luck and while you are there I hope you pick up some great tips and ideas on how to add to your decorating skills by seeing what others have prepared to show. Good luck!

Not all things are easy in this world. Sometimes if we can see its easy, but when we do the job, its quick hard. It is better to study, and let the expert taught, especially in your pastries, Nice eating.
