The other day someone posted about reading. And when I thought about it I haven't read a non fiction book in a long time. I really like romance novels. And it has been at least ten months since the last time that I've had time to really read a book. So after that post it kind of made me miss that I haven't read in a while. So I bought me a book. This way I don't have to worry about rushing through it to get it back to the library. I can take my time reading it, and enjoy it at my own pace.

Wow, I think that's great! I myself haven't read a book quite a while and I'm really thinking to start reading today. I still have some unread books that I bought last year (!). I usually prefer to read at night before I sleep. But I often forget to sleep as I enjoy the reading too much! Lol.

I hope that you were able to start reading. Yeah reading is so enjoyable. I hope that I will be able to continue to read a few books each year. This will give me time for myself and will contribute to my happiness.

I have started my reading!!! I finished reading 1 novel in a day three days ago! It's a thick one, I know, but at least I finished in a day. Now I start reading the other one, a little thicker than before. I'm just trying to find the rhymes. Heheheh... Come on, start reading with me!

Yeah it's no fun to have to rush through a book we enjoy. I really don't like for good books to end so I'm happy when it takes time for me to reach the end. I'm hoping to be able to read a few books a year. This will be my personal time for myself which we all need to do something we enjoy for ourselves.

I love reading books. But I enjoy reading fiction more than non-fiction. Back in high school, I could read a romance novel in 3 hours. Try giving me a history book and I probably finish it in a year!
I have been contemplating on buying new novels myself but always had another thing to do rather than go to the bookstore. Thanks to your discussion, I have a firmer resolve to purchase one. Happy reading, Dominique!

I agree that fiction is entertaining. Yeah I remember those days in high school when I could fly through a book as well. It was just so much fun to go to the library and grab a book and read it. It is such an enjoyable time. I hope that you were able to find you a nice book collection to start. There are so many that it can be hard to find the ones we like.

Yeah I don't to often buy books. I understand not wanting clutter. And to buy all the books we want would cost a lot of money.

Yeah, you left out the best part! What book did you get and who is the author?
I love to read and there are so many authors that I enjoy. I too like to have the book on hand instead of going to the library for my favorite authors that is. I will go back years later and re-read them and get just as absorbed as I did the first time.
Glad you have some free time and hope you enjoy the book!

I can't remember the author but the name of the book was "My Michael" my husband made fun of the book because he didn't like the way the author writes. It was set in futurist time. Where a girl has to travel back in time to find a person who will save their people. And that person of course is Michael. I do agree that it is nice to have books we love on hand and that we can read anytime.

What did you buy? I almost always buy books because sometimes I can finish reading in a couple of days but then I get distracted or busy and it could take me weeks to finish.

I bought a romantic book. I agree it is so easy to read a book that is good fast. I remember before I had my daughter I would read a lot of books. Now I don't have the privilege to read very many books (except for kids books :) that often. But I had been in the mood for a good book and so I got one. I'm happy I did. It is on my list again to read some more. It just takes me a lot longer now to finish a book with my added responsibilities and work.

hi dominique,
I love reading books too, but when I started on my job, I started to neglect my hobby on reading. Until one day, when I attended a seminar on literature, I began to realize that I am so much left behind because I cannot contribute much about different literary works. I decided buy small books too. Whenever I will go to far places, I always bring a small book with me. It lessen my boredom and makes me enjoy my day more because I love reading romance novels too.

I'm glad you love reading to. It can be hard to find time for reading. But the things that we enjoy doing we need to make time for. I agree when we are traveling it is a good idea to have a nice book with us.

Yeah reading is a great way to de-stress. Since I now have more responsibilities I haven't been able to read as many books as I would like. I should set a goal to read at least three books a year. I think that would be a reasonable goal for this. This way I still keep focused on my priorities with my time but I also have a little me time with my books.

reading really have fun, before that, i am very lazy to read on book. but a few years ago, i try to force myself to read a book, something related to self-enrichment. after reading it, i found that actually reading is a fun, and i started to love to read the book. so everytime when i went to shopping, i must bought myself a few books to read. and same as you said, have not need to rush to read the book, and can enjoy reading in my comfort home. happy reading.

I agree reading is such an enjoyment. When we think about it it is a relatively cheap way to entertain ourselves. Now a days with the cost of everything going up including entertainment it takes creativity to do things that save money and yet we enjoy.
