Why some sites are not working in my laptop?

From couple of days I am facing issue that my internet is working fine with most of sites.. but with few site it's not working fine.. specially gmail, facebook, mylot and norton update.. :-O
everything is working fine other than these. but when I try to surf facebook wall posts keep loading while gmail is not at all able to load chat.. mylot respond discussion keeps loading and norton can't update antivirus.. :-( I have checked ip settings.. internet and intranet settings. also flush dns and clear temp files and catche, cookies etc.. but not able to find the proper way..

you have checked all of that? can you fix? or you recognize something wrong on setting? well, it look like connection problem for me, because i always get it and i just fix my connection. try to clean your cookies and chache. restart surfing again. some of norton software can disabled update automatic. set it on norton, not internet setting.

for IE and FIREFOX, yes, it depend with ISP, but i think you still can use chrome. if it still not work, your internet service provider really get trouble. have you contact it?.

There could be a myriad of reasons. What OS are you using? Browser? Error messages, if any?

It happens to my desktop too. Some features in certain sites are not able to load properly and if it does load, it takes such a long time. There are days with no problems at all but i don't think it's due to those sites. It has to be the problem of service provider. In the past few months, i keep getting DNS error when i try to load my usual sites and it's said to be caused by my desktop. Has it got to do with anything about what we are facing?

Probably you should throw away your laptop and buy a new one. 
Now really there can be a lot of reasons for why some of the websites don`t work.It depends on the browser you are using and probably on the firewall.Try to stop the firewall for a second and see if the websites start to work.Try using 3-4 browsers and maybe that will fix your problem.

Go to www.speedtest.net to know your internet bandwidth, I think the problem is with your internet service privider.
