It's all over the internet: facebook, yahoo news, it's even trending on twitter. I'm not talking about the earthquake, it's "Achee Flores" rude comments about it.
In her first comment she said she hopes the (warned) tsunami hits Visayas so that many Visayans would die and the (baduy) un-elegant/low class Filipinos would decrease.
There are other comments as well.
I am not Cebuano, but I am Bisayan. My blood just curdled at what I've read. Not only on how low she thinks of Visayans, but also of how badly she wishes other people.
I know that there is a standing joke about Visayans. About their language (or lack of fluency in tagalog), about how ignorant they are, etc. It's sometimes seen on comedy shows on tv. But Achee's comment is a new low. There's nothing funny about it. And for the record, not all Bisaya have pronunciation problems, nor ignorant, or dressed "baguy"ly as Achee has mentioned.
You can search about her online, including her allegedly real name. She has hate pages on facebook as well as support pages which I've heard is headed by her. She's also on twitter. She's been blogged as well. But let me give you a link, a general scope of what this is all about; including pics on the earthquake.

The comments made by "Achee Flores" can really boil a person's blood, what more if that person has been affected by the recent calamity? But to be fair, were we able to fully establish that those comments were really made by that person? A person with bad intentions can pretend to be "Archee Flores" and have her look evil in the eyes of others. Let us not fan the flame of anger that others are feeling right now, instead, we should treat that person as innocent until proven to be guilty. If she really is making those comments, then may she be forgiven for the wrong thoughts she has. She might be in need of psychiatric help and may be the comments she is making is her way of releasing her own anger, frustrations or the likes. Let us be more cool headed :)

You're right Queen. It is possible that it may be another person using an alias, or probably a real name of a real person who has nothing to do with the events. But sad to say, we really have no way of knowing what the truth is. All we know is someone crazy is out there.

I have no idea about Bisayan, Visayan, or anything else. I'm assuming these are different cultures of the Philippines? Even not knowing who Visayan people are, it's horrible for anyone to wish destruction on another. I saw Achee Flores trending on Twitter and had no idea what it meant.

Well I read the news at Yahoo as well and was quite shocked with the way she said it. I think she's a true blue "net troll" who only wants to get attention from the many. I also read in yahoo that these types of person are the ones that really needs attention and she got it when she was bullied as well and got all the comments from those that tried to comment at her.
Yahoo recommends that try to ignore these kinds of person online since all they want is attention from all of this happening.

I was surprised also to read about her comments amidst the disaster that hits in the Visayan region, how could she uttered those things? Is she sick? She should be publicly banned for being so senseless and heartless to what happened to our countrymen. I just could not believe there's someone like her who could do that. I am convinced she badly needed attention or she is sick!
I was hurt upon reading her comments because I am from Mindanao who spoke a Visayan language and for her information "baduy" is not exclusive to one ethnicity.

She has become famous after just a few hours when the earthquake hit. I am a Cebuano who felt the earthquake and was so mad reading what she has posted. If she wanted publicity, she shouldn't have done it in a very bad way. Many lives are at stake for what she was praying and it was really not a good way. If we are not fashionable under her taste, she should have not shouted it out to the world. She should have just kept it on her own and let karma strike to the person who has hurt her and not include others with it. Let's just all pray for this girl so that her soul will not go to the bad side and that her heart will melt when she gets to know us bisaya/cebuano on how sweet and nice we are and not just the physical looks she will be looking at.

I saw this on facebook as well- it is a joke on Bisaya people- but most of them are god English and tagalog speakers though.. I hope this girl learns her lesson, who does she think she is discriminating her own people too.

There will be people who sniff things that aren't supposed to be sniffed and then get their hands on a PC then make these brainless remarks. I say leave this person be because all that person wants is publicity and definitely he/she/it is getting it. Let us concentrate more on helping the poor people affected by the calamity in any small way we can. This kind of haters spring up like mushrooms when our country experiences devastating disasters and these brainless dudes tend to look like intelligent beings because they get so much hype. I tell you, this person will be much more irritated if the comment that he/she/it made was just ignored. It's like a chihuahua barking and everyone now thinks it's a pit bull because of all the noise it made.

we know that the comment the person made was a prejudiced and biased one. it is enough that we let her know that. but countering a comment like that with another prejudiced and biased is uncalled for. the cycle of prejudice will continue. it is wise to point out to the person that what her generalized image of the visayans is not true.

I also against what Achee said, the pictures are scary, hard to imagine there are no casualties and they are ok. Hope that they will find the missing alive, I'm worried about the elderly, the children and the domesticated pets. Achee didn't know what he's saying, it's not reason enough to wish something bad happens in the city within your country even if you hate someone. It's clear that Achee don't care about his/her country.

There's been some casualties, I've heard. Few though compared to other calamities that struck in the past.
It is indeed obvious that she doesn't care. Not only "not caring" since that just entails a shrug and non-action, but her negative words means she hates her fellow Filipinos.

Very rude, indeed! As if all her days would be good and lucky ones. I'm reminded of Candy Pangilinan who once rudely commented about the Igorot people.

She's the type of person who needs a mental assessment. I feel so sorry for her and her family, that she do have an ill-manner. How I wish that Karma will haunt her because of her words.

This Achee Flores must have had some bad experiences with Visayans for praying that they perish in the tsunami to get rid of them. Did she mean it as a joke or was she trying to catch attention to herself? Many Yahoo comments from what I have read are very rude, malicious and condescending. They are bitter and want to hurt people that I so wish there is censorship in the comments. I pity the people who become the subjects of this comments. Is being "baduy" a big sin? What on earth was she thinking? It seems like her real identity has been traced and I hope she learns her lessons from this experience and so with the other people who comment on Yahoo. The comments make me think that these people have nothing better to do with themselves.
