Sure, everyone wants to be Special especially in God's eyes. Do we expect God to do more for us than other people?? Do we expect God to solve all our problems and bring us love, money, and happiness?? Do we just want it all done for us, served up on a plate?? Do some get angry when God doesn't give us everything we want?? What do you expect from God????

In a manner of speaking God has served it up on a plate. That plate is the Bible which has answers for all of life's problems.

The bible was written by mankind. Mankind is serving that one up. Further it doesn't solve all problems. Of course, if you choose to believe it so, that is entirely up to you.

Of course we both knew you were going to say that the Bible was written by mankind. However, what you fail to mention is that what is written in the Bible was inspired by God's Holy Spirit, so the Bible is set apart from other books and is far superior to all other writings. The problems in life could be avoided if mankind would follow the teachings found in the Bible. A good example is the Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20 because they spell out what our relationship should be with God and our fellow man as does Jesus' Sermon on the Mount found in chapters 5,6, and 7 of the Gospel of Matthew. These are just two examples of many valuable lessons and inspirational teachings that have made a huge difference for the better in many people's lives.

The knowledge that the bible was inspired by God was given to you by mankind, the writers of the bible. What else would you expect them to say? God will never tell you any holy book was written by Him. They would be a much different read. Since you believe so hard in the bible I understand why you feel it can solve all problems but that simply isn't true. Sometimes people must live it to learn it in life. Experience has always been the best teacher. Yes, some choose to learn the hard way. That will always be a fact of life.

Since God does not exist, I certainly cannot expect any treatment from an imaginary being. Imaginary beings cannot do anything for us. I certain am not angry with a being which does not exist.

Jyuuken. That's not a nice thing to say. Why does Frederick's words hurt you to anger?? Shouldn't your respond be with kindness?? Further, lack of knowledge isn't a crime. Frederick hasn't discovered God yet. Is it bad then he doesn't rely on beliefs?? No. Beliefs should always be questioned. People who do not believe and demand others to question are supplying the world with a much needed view. God wants this. In time, we will all grow in understanding. WE will all know. Those who hunger for truth and work toward that goal will discover much quicker. Perhaps we should all hunger for the truth rather than always accept that we have all the answers. There is always more to learn. Frederick. Sometimes just a little bit of new information will change the view completely. That will show up for you in time.

@jyuuken Which Bible you have read my dear friend? it is in Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

You are right bird. The Bible warns us against calling other people fools. Jyuuken, it is very hateful and ungodly to say those things to someone. We are to be patient, pray, and set positive examples for nonbelievers while God works on them. I believe God has put us here so that we may learn to love others as well as to love, trust and obey Him. As Bird does, I believe that we are not meant to understand everything. We will not know and understand much of what we need to until God chooses to reveal things to us in His own time. We can not expect to change the views of other people and to teach them about God if we belittle and degrade them for their ignorance of His teachings.

Anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and follows his teachings and the teachings in the Bible, can and should expect the blessings God has promised us. These "Special Treatments" are for all who have given their lives to Christ. God can be found by anyone who seeks Him, and all who seek Him will receive His blessings. What I expect from God is everything He promised in His word, the Bible.

Would parents reward a child who disobeys them?

Do Parents only care about their good kids?? Do they give only their good kids special treatment??? Wouldn't this parent be a monster if they did?? God holds great wisdom. Loving His children Unconditionally will never mean frying them. If God can create universes, what are a few wayward kids? God will be Fair. God will send lessons so that no child will be left behind. Is that really so hard a task??? I think not.

AMEN bestboy! The whole key there is it all only applies to those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Most people do not see this. Even people who claim to be devout Christians and that they know what the Bible says miss the point. The laws and teachings from God in the Bible only apply thosee who have to those who have become Christians, NOT to ALL of mankind. God's gifts to His children are not a birth right for every person ever born. You have to committ your life, heart, and soul to HIM and accept Him through His grace and your faith in Him.

Oh yeah, I would like to think that I am special to God. I take great joy in knowing that as one of His children, I am special to Him. Now, that is not to say that I expect preferential treatment from God. He has said that we are all rewarded according to our faith and obedience to Him. I believe that if you are sincere in your prayers and have walked in faith with Him that God does take care of you. He provides for what I need. He brings me great joy. I do not expect God to just hand me everything my heart desires because just like my kids when they were little, some of my requests may not be in my best interest, so God declines those, just as I had to do with some of my children's desires. I only expect from God what He has promised me. If I love, trust, and obey Him, He will take care of all my needs here on earth and will bring me unto Him for eternity when my earthly life is over.

your quote:I believe that if you are sincere in your prayers and have walked in faith with Him that God does take care of you. my answer: Doesn't God take care of His children regardless of their actions?? If one truly loves their children isn't that so?? If that isn't so then God does give special treatment to some. Wouldn't that make God less than fair????

Are your children not your children simple because of their actions??? If you say yes, wouldn't you be a Monster?? Let's assume you are God for a moment. You have the wisdom and ability to create universes. Why would you not have the wisdom and intelligence to be FAIR??? Clearly, since what you say does not add up,you do not have the truth. Perhaps it's time to search for the truth that does add up. Just like all the physics of this world add up, so does God and the people factor. Next, why in the world do you think you need to be forgiven?? Does that really add up to you? Widen your view. Expand your thinking. Discover God. All the secrets of the universe stare us in the face. How long did mankind watch birds fly before they figured out how??? Religion does not really understand God. Perhaps, in time you can. You must stop following and start searching for truth.

No that isn't so. God does not promise to be fair. If you are one of His chidren (meaning you have been saved by His grace and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior)He does take care of you. However, not all people here on Earth have chosen to accept Him and are saved, so not all people are His children. You have to obey Him. You have to repent your sins and ask His forgiveness in all sincerity, otherwise why would He choose to forgive you and take care of you? Did He not punish people in Biblical times with plaques and famines for their disobedience? My God takes very good care of me, because I have faith in Him that he will do so, not because it is what is fair and just. If you are not walking in faith with Him and are not being earnest in your repentance, how then do you call yourself a child of God and expect Him to do for you? He says that if you do not acknowledge Him before man, He will not acknowledge you before the Father.

Well, of course I would want special treatment. But I prefer not to anymore. I mean, I'm not worth his special treatment. I'm not being emo or sentimental here okay. I sinned or you can say betrayed God and so, thus I feel not worthy of asking anything from him. Yea, God ever said ask and you shall receive, knock and the door shall open for you. Somehow, I feel guilty asking God for what I want, when I can't even fulfill what he wanted. The Ten Commandment, forgive and love others, never lie, honour your parents and so on. Until I can follow and obey his law, I shall only ask him for want I need. Before that happen, I shall just ask for his mercy. The most. Hopefully, God can just grant me mercy. == hopefully. I want to go to heaven, my only wish. Eternal wish. Lol . They say entering heaven is like a camel entering the eye of a needle. So yea. Haha. Scary. Oh well. Peace be with all xD

Why in the world would anybody think they aren't worthy of God's love?? That is more evil religion teaches people to convince them you need them to fix you. It is truly Evil. AS God's children, we are all worthy of God's love. God's love isn't conditional as mankind wants you to believe. There is a better way.

@bird God did just fine before He created mankind, so I think that He could do just fine again without us. @Heixyn None of us are truly worthy of God's love and mercy, but He loves us anyway.

According to Genesis 1;27 kjv, So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created. This make every1 a special being. If you desire anything from God,All you have to do is to ask as a child.

Doesn't God give you what you need rather than simply what you want??? Isn't there more to it than simply asking as a child???

@bird123 Yes, God provides for our needs, but if they are for our own good or for His glory and honor, He will grant our wants as well. The approaching Him as a child simply means that we come to Him with humblesness and meekness and faith of a child.

God has no Ego that requires glory and honor. This is a man made concept. You are right God will grant us anything that will not change the lessons for us or others. How one approaches God makes no difference. God already knows us all better than we do. Trying to put a sales pitch on God will make no difference. God will give us what we need regardless of how well we can tap dance.

If God exists, then God can be found. God can be found. Do you search or like most people expect it all to come to you?? The truth: God is nothing like religion teaches. Your first step is to forget everything you have ever been taught about God then search with an open mind and your intellect.

Hi bird: Actually the answer is no. I don't one a special treatment, I want love from God and that's exactly what I get from him. We all deserve love so I on't ask things that implies a special treatment. I ask God to make me wise to take the good choices and to learn from my mistakes also. ALVARO
