Very confusing in your shared thoughts, If you will first glance them, it seems the same just being reversed. But when to analyze it will be of different meanings right? I agree with you that is much worry when it comes to doing things right than doing the right things. Mainly because, when you deal of doing the right things? it pertains to your immediate action in a situation which you seem in yourself is right needed for that moment. But, when you have that chance to recall what you did in a certain action after you had made the right thing? you will realized by far that what you did is not doing things right.. I mean, this is the time that your actions opposed the other action which must end to DOING THINGS RIGHT.
This situations are covered with the difference of your own personal perception in action ( doing right things) verses the values or morality you are aware of in the society ( doing things right). Doing things right goes for more on broad perspective that you do not rely only on you own thoughts but in general and the society, cultures, religion and traditions may take place on that part.
To give you an example for such is.. What if you are married already, and suddenly you came to meet a new interesting guy??and you became good friends with no strings attached. You think there is nothing wrong about having friends even you are married right? So you opened that friendship opportunity (in this you think you are doing right things), but as time goes by, both of you unintentionally moved to another level like intimacy? So, in that time you have realized that what happened between you is wrong and you realized to cut everything because you do not want to loose your husband. This is where the situation of doing things right will come to correct what happened and make up those mistakes you have committed.
For some situations, we cannot conclude that at all times, when a person is doing the right things do mean that he is doing things right or vice versa. Effects vary on such actions done. Some did not do the right things but at the end doing things right and some able to do right things but did not end doing things right.
Happy lotting...

I think that in reverse. I think that if you are doing the right things, you are doing them right.
I would much rather know that I am doing the right things, even though I tend to be a perfectionist and doing things right is important to me.

Doing things right means you you are making things right. Doing the right things mean you are not doing the wrong thing. They are different, to be sure.

Doing the right things. You could do what you think is right, only to be criticized or have people accuse you of doing the wrong things because someone they are with has judged the person your with and give them the wrong label. Do what you know is right and then you will not worry about doing things right or doing the right thing because you will already be doing what is best in your heart and mind. Let god guide you.

I was always worried about both since I always was a perfectionist. Now I don't care anymore, the only thing I care about is doing what is right for me!

Doing the right thing is very important. But doing things right to your best ability is also important.

I'm not worried of them either. The more you think about it, the more it will make you confused. In my opinion, I prefer to do things that will make me happy, things that I won't gonna regret in the near future.
