Well, I thought I was gonna get thru these winter months without catching a bad cold, but my precious little grandson came home from day car with one last week, and I could not resist his sweet little kisses, so Thursday afternoon--there it was, a sore throat. Oh, those are so terrible. I happened to have visited the VA hospital on Tuesday and labs showed my white blood cells were off, so she had put me on antibiotic steroids anyway, so that all worked out well. It's Sunday night, and I still am not 100% but I feel so much better than I have the last 5 days!

Hope you are feeling so much better now.
Hate to say this but so far I haven't had a cold this winter. The children have had some coughs but I never caught them! Fingers crossed it stays this way but now I have said this I bet I come down with the flu tomorrow???

My 2 year old grandson who I keep some during the week goes to birthday parties with lots of little children, and my daughter is a physical therapist practicing at schools and nursing homes. It's hard for me not to get around germs.

No. No. You won't. A cold flu is going around here. Mine only lasted 6 days. I am still congested now. I'll be glad when that is gone.

@crystaltears I am sorry you got sick, but am so glad you are feeling better. I wouldn't resist the affections of my gandkids either, if I ever have any. I am so looking forward to that day, but I digress. I used to never get sick, but that was before I turned 40. My doctor says that we all start to go down hill then. I get the scratchiness in my throat every time there is a drastic change in weahter, and you are right, it is terrible.

@chrystaltears I am afraid that is what is going to happen to me. My son is 22 and hasn't even found the right girl yet. I am almost 44 and have some issues that make me feel much older.

It was well worth the kisses. Many times I've had my nephews pass on their snotty little noses. I have a pretty diminished immune system but I was doing so well with only little colds until around Christmas where for a solid month I had sinus & chest infections. I have been well for about a month now and for the last few days, after being in contact with the little rascals again, I'm bunged up and sick as a dog. A never-ending cycle.
Hope you're 100% soon, as I hope to be in a few days!

Oh. Bless your heart. You're a person after my own heart. Those kisses are just irisistable, Yes, I have had some snotty little kisses for sure, but I don't care at all. Time passes so fast and I want to remember every single kiss before he gets to that age where he isn't offering them anymore.
I just hope you get to feeling better soon.

As of today it's a full blown chest infection, but I'll get over it, always worth it. I know what you mean about them not offering kisses anymore. The little one year old has just gotten to the point where all you have to say it 'kiss' and he'll run over with a big smile and plant a big wet snotty one right on your mouth, but the 4 year old, well for a year already I've had to steal them from him because 'kisses are for girls'!

Oh no. That means I only have another year before he stops giving me my precious kisses. I am not looking forward to that at all.
I so hope you get to feeling better soon!
