Dear Friends While I was in college I used to go to Jim .During initial days I was full of zest and happiness .I used to start with small weight and go up to medium. In between I used to take rest for 5 minutes.During this 5 minute break I use to look around big guys lifting 150 kgs and onwards . I used to think how these guys are lifting 150 kgs while I am taking a break of 5 minutes after lifting merely 25-30 kgs. After this 5 minute I used to go back to lifting my 25-30 kgs . The question I used to ask to myself is the same I asking to you all lifting over weight like 150 kgs and above doesn't one feel tiring, hectic and sometimes mad some ? How do they manage to life 150 kgs and above ?Are they human or machines ? Hare Krishna Ganesh

Well , at the ages of 17 to 21 I used to work out at the gym and I was not so strong. I could do 4 sets (1 minute break between set to another) of 8 to 12 lifts of like 40 - 50 kgs as a chest muscles exersice (I lay on my back horizonal or diagonal and push the weight upwards) and that was realy hard for me. I weight only 60 kgs. I am very carefull whene working out lifting weight. I got some damage to my wrist and shoulders (I get "knack" so something is not perfect in my wrist and left shoulder) I rather lift easy weight and do slow repeatitions and with full range of motion. Lifting heavy weight requires a good and strong skeleton and joints. What can I do , I don't have perfect joints for heavy lifts. By the way , if you see someone that has for example a long biceps , he is probabely strong naturally and can lift heavy weight. One with short muscles is most of the times weaker.

I think weight lifting is a dangerous kind of sports. If you done a wrong maneuver, it will lead to a very disabling conditions, such as severe low back pain, muscle spasms, etc.
