Does Coffee Make You Aggressive?

I have noticed something new recently. If I have a second cup of coffee, I am really a bit aggressive. Definitely irritable. Possibly downright snippy. Does coffee do anything to change your mood?

For me it is more calming, I don't drink a lot of coffee, only one cup a day unless I go out to a cafe, but I have always felt it to be calming or maybe that is the atmosphere of being out also...

Yes, I find it also helpful for my migraine headaches when needed but never aggressive

In my case it depends to the coffee. If that is from Starbucks chances are it makes me feel happy and relax that could release my stress as well. There are coffees that makes my heartburn or nervous. But there are coffees that can't make any reaction to me. Sometimes if that is too much coffee then chances are I feel sleepy.

I'm not sure if the caffeine content of your coffee was the direct cause of your aggressiveness. I think that since too much caffeine can cause restlessness, this could have caused you to be aggressive. I mean, it's like an outlet of some sort for that restless feeling. As to myself, I find that taking too much coffee makes me really jumpy. Actually, I think that it's the lack of caffeine in my system that causes me to be irritable at times :)

It does because it's a central nervous stimulant. You have to drink coffee in moderation.
