Ok, so everyone is probably used to removing their clothes from the dryer and finding that single sock occasionally, right? Well today, I found a sock, ink pen, a used check book (that looks like it was never wet), a brand new pack of gum and $1.32!
I've never hit the jackpot like that before! What was your best find from your dryer?
Cheers,
Stan

Interesting!! We live in an apartment and occasionally we will find some things in the apartment laundry room dryers. I hate finding pens - that means there could be ink in the dryer - I'd hate to get it on our clothes! I've found a few coins - like an extra quarter and miscellaneous smaller coins - which always helps top pay for the next set of laundry - ha ha. Once I found OUTSIDE the dryer, three dollars folded up! Yep - I often find that "one" sock . . . those we usually pin up to the bulletin board for someone to find!

Ha ha - oh, you mean you re-found your things in your own dryer? Yah, other people in our building leave stuff in the dryers all the time . . . many of them are college students, so it may be because they are in a hurry and not too careful! So sometimes I will get some STRANGE undergarments that are definite not any of ours . . . eek . . . I will put it back on top and the dryer - and RUN! Ha ha!

Since laundry is usually done at home, the best I could find is my own stuff wet and probably unusable. Although, I could remember finding a twenty peso bill which I was sure that didn't belong to me, probably was of my siblings. Not much, but better than nothing.

I think socks go through a hidden hole through the hoses and pop up other people's homes and apartments! I have a cup in the car for the loose coins. I usually empty it when I take my coin jar to the credit union for deposit. My personal best was $166.10. The jar was filled to the hilt and had to weigh at least 5 pounds!

I can only say WOW!!! as it never happened to me while I used my dryer at home. Now I don´t have one. I live alone so I dry my clothes outside in Spring through Autumn and in my bathroom in Winter. I occationally leave a paper hankie and they stick to th wet clothes. But that´s all.

Since I am the only one that does the laundry in my house whatever I find becomes mine. I have found lighters, pencils, chapstick, coins but the best find was a $20.00 bill.

I haven't had small things like yours in my laundry. But I've found currency notes and important receipts which have been washed due to my lack of care in checking the pockets of my shirts and trousers.I'm grateful these have come back without damage.I once kept a quite a big sum in my cupboard and didn't remember where i placed them until i accidentally came across the money while searching for papers and the money was useful for the last few days of the month.
