People who sings out of tune

I do not claim to have the most beautiful voice nor do I have one in reality. But I can hear myself whenever I sing out of tune and then I try to adjust it or simply stop singing because it may annoy someone. But then, there are people who still sings loudly and continuously even if they are out of tune. Last night, we have some friends of ours who came to visit and to sing along. There were two of our friends who selected a lot of songs even before we started singing but they both sing way out of tune. This annoys me because it seems that they don't want to give others a chance at singing whereas they don't sing well themselves. In fact, they sang horribly. Have you encountered these kind of people who sings their heart out even they know they are out of tune? Can't they hear themselves sing?

As we kids were singing my dad said: please shut up if you don't know the words. Hard things to say to a kid. I agree it can be annoying if someone is really singing out of tune but.. we don't all have a great voice and singing is also an expression of joy. Taking away this joy can hurt a lot. I do believe many people do hear they sing out of tune, but being busy singing, expressing oneselves feelings will be more important to them as paying attention to that and stop singing.

My girlfriend talks about having family over for a birthday party and there was someone that was so bad she didn't even accidently hit a right note. There are people that will go to a kareoke bar that don't know how to sing. They get up in front of hundreds of people and sing like that!

I agree. They deserve all the credit for their guts to sing in public without being ashamed of themselves. I have an average voice but when it comes to singing in public, I am not really that good.. How much more so are these people who sings loudly and consecutively even if they are out of tune.

Singing is good in releasing tension and stress, that people love singing because they can freely express their self in the melody of music despite they're out of tune. I admire the courage they have, it is okay for me to listen to them, the people that I don't like is the one that sings like there's no tomorrow, lets say they are the one that take the microphone with no intention to share to others, and of course, they are out of tune when they sing.

I know some people like these. In fact, I have a friend who sings out of tune and we actually tease her because of it but she's not like your friends who don't give others a chance on the mic. She loves singing in the karaoke though. And she's not shy nor hide the fact that she sings out of tune. And we just take it all on good spirit.

So, that's what its called - tone deaf. Well, I guess the listeners should be the one to adjust since it is, technically, a disability ! LOL!

hi stuckonu no I don 't think they can as some people really are tone deaf, they really think they are in tune and are having a ball.'I may not like it but in this life I have learned t o p;ick my battles. if its no goling to physically hurt me or someone else I keep my trap shut, if its dangerous of course I will t ry to stop whoever is doing the wrong action. but if tone deaf people just do not know they are out of tone I do not want tol hurt thenm so ignore it myself.I know its very annoying but hurt feeling and angry fusses are more annoying to me. in the long run of the day I can getover the out of tune singers but not insulting and unkind acts of others those I will not bypass.

Ouch! HAHA! I've got one horrible tune and I sometimes sing at home that my siblings are annoyed at how noisy I am. But I still keep on singing to irritate them. HAHA! Revenge is sweet. I am aware that I am not gifted with such voice but it still feels good to sing. HAHA! Even if I am out of tune. But don;t do it in public. I just do it at home to irritate my siblings. HEHE!

I am a singer and sometimes when I am at the top of my range, I do sing a little sharp or flat, so it is possible that they think they are singing in tune, but cannot. My singing teacher told me that I have to sing the notes while playing the piano and do it over and over again. Before that when my friend was teaching me what she learned, she would play that part over and over again, so if I sometimes hit the wrong note it is no wonder that someone with no experience would hit several wrong notes.

There are some people who actually think they are singing great when in fact they are way out of tune. I have a friend like that. She really thinks she can sing. I just nod my head and keep quiet since it does no good to try and tell her. I on the other hand KNOW I Can't sing. So, i don't even try. But you see those type of people on American idol all the time. They really think they are good. They et angry when the judges tell the they cant sing.

I am not a good singer myself, but I just know when to stop. I get irritated sometimes, but most of the times I just think it's funny. I just tell myself that let them have their fun since they seem to be enjoying whatever it is they are doing, definitely not singing. Hahaha!

Yes, I experienced it many times, whenever or wherever there are celebration that I attend, surely there's people who will sing loudly but the pitch is in another direction. And of course like you said, there are people who's very hungry in singing like they were not want to give others a chance to sing. I also do not claim to have a good voice but I did know if it the tune is good or not. But I don't judge people who's not good in singing, I prefer to be friend with them, sometimes they hit the tune of the second voice, and it makes a good blending. =D

There are funny friends who sings out of tune that I don't mind. But there were people who feels as if they have a nice sounding voice that don't even give the microphone to others - and that is really annoying. I, myself, am not a good singer but I love to sing. However, if I think that I cannot get the tune and singing out of tune - I'd stop and laugh.

I know what you mean, I watch American idol and I see alot of the auditions on there from those that think they can sing like the best of them, when in fact, they really can't.It is sad that they really can't hear themselves, they might be tone deaf. I just think they should concentrate on another type of talent, as I do know when I can't sing. I'm sure there are lots who think they can do alot of things perfectly and they just do not. It can be funny but also sad.

I also know a few friends and family members who sing way out of tune and don't seem to realize it that it is bothering others. I don't have a good voice so I don't sing as I know it sounds bad. I wish others could do the same. I don't say anything to them as I know that they are just having fun and singing from the heart. Their singing is not doing anyone any harm whatsoever so might as well let them continue and fulfill their singing desire and be happy about it...

Ola! I think iam one of those whome you called tone deaf. I sing horribly and I accept it. I dont know for sue if some people dont notice that they rae way ot of tune. As for your situation last night maybe they do it for fun afterall siging a form of expression and to release stress. You were there to sing your heart out but maybe not good of them to all not give others the chance to sing. Dont take it seriously so that you wont have a bad mood just enjoy hanging with your friends.
