Young kids asking for money ,and extra food!

Hello Bfrindwithme, I am so lucky to have such hardworking and responsible parents that they didn't let us get into trouble of going into poor stage like all the others. It's hard to believe that in our subdivision now we have so many squatters that they tend to asked a lot of money from other people. Some are actually being "used" by parents or some syndicate to get symphatize and money from people. sad but that's probably why i stop giving to alms. you never know if they are really using the money for the right reasons.

Maybe their parents can not lavish what their children ask, or maybe they belong to poor family.

while chatting with my brother sometime ago, he told my mom if my mom did not worked hard for us, when our father left us - we would have been one of the kids there years ago because we lost our livelihood and we lost our business. it is very disheartening why some parents are being irresponsible, and why they can stomach seeing their kids risk their lives crossing the streets, or even walking all over the street, and the city to beg for money and food.

Same scenario here, Befrind. I ever seen a few children are begging for food and money at one corner of the wet market area. In fact, i ever gave some money to them, when i am passing through that wet market area. Only after i had read in the newspapers that these children are being used by their parents and even worse still by syndicate, then i started to ignore them. I do pity to those children, so i only gave them food. But, i never gave them any money anymore. I am happy that now the authority in my area are very strict against those who mistreated or misused children. Children are innocent and lovable, so shouldn't be treated that way.

it is really heart breaking when you see children begging for money or food. it doubles the heartache i feel when i had my son. i can't imagine my son doing that. they are helpless. i once saw a family with the parents letting their children wander around and n=beg for food. after getting money or food, they will immediately run to the mother. the parents let their child or in worst situation they are forcing their children to that. i even saw a little boy under two years old already begging for food. he don't even had a pants and slippers, and he is really dirty. i wonder why the mother can let her child do that. my heart really aches whenever i see them. my husband said, do not always give them because they will use to it and do it over again. but i pity them so i give them food or money. i thank God that i can feed my son and that i can buy him clothes and toys and stay in a comfort home.

their action is very sad,but they do to survive. now we know to get a good job is very difficult.

I also often find same situation here in my place. Young kids asking for money in the streets, without their parent. It is very sad to see such condition, especially when we know they are still very young (children), I think this situation come from people (parents) who don't have responsibility. How they can let their child just like that. Really suck.
