What is your MyLotting strategy?

Ha ha, by that I mean, where do you even BEGIN when you start responding to discussions? It can seem overwhelming on here some times it seems - with thousands and thousands of discussions and interests at your disposal. I just perused into the "My Interests" category until about page 6, when I was no longer finding discussions that interest me.
Now I guess I am going under certain interests and looking for discussions that apply to me and seem interesting.
I guess I don't normally have a routine. But when I come on MyLot, I tend to be hyperactive and addictive about it and respond to about a hundred discussions in a day (I get on a roll and I just don't want to stop! ).
Where do you BEGIN when you start responding to discussions?
Do you have a 'routine' of which categories or where you go to find the discussions?

I start with friend's discussions, I try to answer at least one for each friend who has posted. Then I post my own discussion, I try to do at least one per day.

Hi maezee,
It's hit and miss for me, some days I log on and go straight to the discussions that my friends have started or I might go to 'top discussions'; usually one or the other. Other times head straight to the discussions that as yet have no responses or I might go to the discussions that are listed under my interests. Over the past few days I have just found it really hard to 'get into' discussions I've read, think my head was not in the right place for being able to contribute as I would have liked to so I read some discussions without responding. That frustrates me but happens at times.
I don't really have a myLot 'routine' as such but ultimately any discussions I do end up responding to are ones that grab my attention and I feel I have something valuable to contribute to!

a pleasant day maezee,
frankly speaking, i do not have any strategy when i have joined mylot. as i have not think that i will be here at this site for this long. but, when i have redirected my career path, i have seen and visualized myself as an internet entrepreneur. although i have visioned myself an internet entrepreneur, still, marketing strategy is not on my idea. hence, i am just holding and lifting my prayers and petitions to God that He guide and lead me to be a good internet entrepreneur. and i guess, this is my secret and strategy.
pray and it really works.

Usually I begin from "friend's started" and then to "new" and comes last my "interest". I also have the habit of scanning pages in interest as long there's topic that caught my attention and I can relate with.

Not all interests gets participation. I feel the best mylot strategy is to find out those interests which enjoys participation and create new discussion over there.

there is no strategy for me. i think there are just some topics that gets a lot of participation from the mylot community, but then it actually depends on the people logged in at the moment. when i want to participate a lot, i would then be finding good topics i like to respond to. and then from there, i would sometimes create a topic of my own too and just make sure that my topics are what i am truly feeling.
Most of the time discussions that are answerable by yes or no does not get good responses and its not the kind of topic i would want to answer as well. it kinda make me not create good answers.

I have one. I always hit new. I wan to be among the first to responde. but other than that, not really. I'll just hit new, look real quick at the questions, if there iw one that either peaks my intrest or one that I feel strongly about, I'll answer it. I'm not one that trys to answer a whole bunchy and try to earn a paycheck every month. Or in my case, not even every year. I thought you asked an interesting mylot question, that's why I responded to this one.

when i go to mylot, i initially check for the responses to my own discussions if they need some comments from. then i check for my email to see who among my friends have new discussions posted. so i check them one by one, respond if i have something to say about the topic and then delete the notification from my inbox. when i get through all the topics in my email, i go to the pages of different discussions, say today's top, my interests, and so on. that's usually how i play on mylot. but not all the time i come here or when i come, i do that routine.

I log in and if I have started a discussion I will go and reply to all who have responded on them.(I also try to find that person and respond on a discussion they have started.) Then I head over to the today's top, then my interest then finally to discussions started by friends. I respond to all that I can. I find that this pattern for me is the best. That way I don't forget anything.

Even before I used to go directly to the recent discussions. And there I will pick topics that interests me and post comments on them. Sometimes I start my own discussion when I thought of something to share to the public.

"my interests" is the right menu to begin with...
where you can find discussions that you interest in...
talking about strategy, i don't really have any...
i only respond to a discussion that i really have a good opinion about it...
i don't really have a routine to a certain categories, sometimes i find a good discussion from "home" and you can see "discussion my friend started"

Hi, Maezee, you are very productive! It's not the case with me, I'm so slow :))
For me the first thing is to see my friends discussions, I try to respond them first because I don't know how much time I'd have to stay at myLot. Then I try my interests.
Happy mylotting!

I try avoiding replying to you like the plague. It doesn't seem to be working for me, but it sure does work for you. Any tips?

Whenever I get "in the mood" for myLot, I generally start by going to the discussions new section. I don't know why... I suppose there is no real reason. It's just the way I have always done it.
Occasionally, after being on myLot for a bit, I will go to certain categories that I am interested in discussing about. Such as the myLot category. There, you find a lot questions about myLot from newbies. I like to help people, so those particular discussions interest me.

good question. I just started so I barely know what I'm doing. In general for me on the web, the "latest/newest" is a good portal to get warmed up, and then I get bored and start looking for the topics that are really on my mind, usually psychology, interpersonal issues, conspiracy, culture, alternative history and the like. :-)
I don't know how/if any of this 'strategy' effects payment or earning potential. Would love to hear thoughts on that too.
