I don't understand the idea of how teenagers and some adults are wearing their pants beneath the butts. they say its a fashion statement. But I think its indecent exposure and something needs to done about this. These kids are showing the underwear and its terrible. Some of these kids are wearing there pants down to their knees and its just getting out of hand. I think there should be a law on this. Kids should be stopped and ticketed when they wear the pants under there butts I've actually have approached some of these kids and told them that when they wear their pants beneath there butts, they're identifying themselves with their feminine side. They get very upset when I tell them that, but they continue to where there pants that way. What do you think? Is it okay or is it getting out of hand

I completely agree with whatever you said. I hate it and feel so disgusted to see the guys wearing the butt pants. i don't see a point or a fashion statement in exposing the brand of inner wear that a guy is wearing. it is indeed so sick of these guys to roam in public with such sense of dressing. some people are better, but most of them make it even more disgusting by wearing it lower than how it is supposed to be! Disgusting and the ultra fashion disaster. In my place, i haven't seen any girl wearing it. I got to know now that it is available for girls too! I hope no girl goes shameless like guys on the streets exposing their inner wear brands. i see girls only in skin fir jeans, which suits well for few and doesn't suit for others. But then , not many girls wear stuffs that doesn't suit them i guess. I am not good at skin fits, but I am good at slim fit pants and formal shirts. They look great on my and I am super comfortable with them.

I agree I'm a teenager but I think the fashion sense is beyond ridiculous sometimes and also disgusting and it doesn't look professional at all.

I didn't know that there are such pants.Well even if we have that in our country,I still wouldn't wear it.Here's another kind of indecent clothing. In our country it's called pekpek shorts. Here's a picture

I know the definition of pekpek, and here in the US we call 'em booty/boy/hot shorts. I'm a bit cool with dancewear more or less modeled after them in dance classes and conventions (especially with bra tops), but elsewhere? Please.

Blame it on hip-hop and rap music. Have you seen the music videos for those music genres lately? A lot of them are pairing sagging pants with their bling-bling, and that's just part of the problem with those besides those profanity-laced lyrics, scanty clothes worn by the female backup dancers (they sometimes wear low-rise too), and horrid dance moves. I was in middle and high school when this fashion trend was all the rage. I heard of students getting referrals and detentions over it. We had a dress code, but not uniform. I agree with you on how disgusting sagging jeans are. Not everyone is cool with seeing one's underwear - boxers or ladies, um, scanty Underoos - even President Obama is one of those people like me who doesn't want to see one's underwear. I should have been to a school where pants need belt loops, belts are to be worn, shirts must be tucked in, and shorts/skirts must be hemmed to knees. Oh, and shirts should have been needed to be solid and collard (polo, Oxford, dress) and pants should have been in a solid, non-denim color (black, navy, or the common khaki).

They are taking it to the extreme a little with their butts sticking out, but I think it's just a faze both in fashion and in their lives, it will pass. Some things they just have to learn on their own, the more you tell them not to do it the more they will.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I once heard that style was started by male prison inmates as a sign they were "ready and willing". Besides looking totally ridiculous, that's enough reason for me not to try it! Cheers, Stan

Teenage boys wear 'butt' pant is because he is stupid or was mislead into thinking it is a fashion trend for youth. Adult male doing that is becasue he want to show his as* to all those women on the street and in public, he should get arrested for indecent exposure, spend some time behind bar to learn the proper dress code in public before he continue to display his indiscretionary obscenity and indifferences in a civil society. Most of the street Hooligans here like to wear their pant down to their knee to showcase their unculture behaviors and personality traits.

Ha ha, I agree with you to an extent - girls and ESPECIALLY boys. I can't wear SUPER low rise jeans because then my butt will be hanging out and no one needs to see that. . I like low rise to an extent but not as low as most people wear them. It's safe to say that's the "in" style right now I guess. I'm sure the fad will pass eventually.

It's a good thing that this type of fashion didn't quite make it big among the teens in my country. There are those who still wear these, but I guess they wear them properly - no underwear showing or anything. But I do remember a little more than a decade ago that this type of fashion had been popular. Teenage boys would wear their pants so low so that their boxers would show. It didn't last also. But I've also noticed that there are times that teens fashion do at times get out of hand. And I think if it's already indecently exposing themselves, then an ordinance might really be in order.
