Last week there was something happened to my good friend, Alex.He wanted to borrow his colleague-Jim's camera. Strictly speaking, Jim was his superior but not the direct superior. In the office Jim and Jim's roomate-Ivan were there, he asked Jim and Jim agreed he can go to his dorm to get the camera. In the everning, he went to Jim's dorm and Ivan opened the door but Jim was not in.So he took the camera and told Ivan to leave a message to Jim. The next day, Ivan told Alex, Jim blamed him in the office why he took the camera without a word and Ivan explained to Alex he has forwarded the message to Jim. Alex was very angry and he knew it very well Jim was intentionally embarrass him. Because it happened before. Even though, he went to office and all colleagues were there. He say "sorry" to Jim and then at night he went to Jim's dorm and say "sorry" again to Jim. I asked him why he would do like that. He said, he hope after that time Jim would not embarrass him and misunderstand him any more. I dont know if what he thought will become true. I hope also. What do you think Jim will do in the futher?

Well its okay if he said sorry, because even though he thinks Jim is embarrassing him intentionally, you have to admit Jim's got a reason to be mad, I think, even how little his reason is. My advice is that be careful next time to make transactions with Jim. Just don't give Jim any reason, no matter how little it is, to embarrass him in front of the others.

Yeah, treat different people in different way!Maybe his thought that "Men at their birth, are naturely good" makes him do like that no matter if it will go like his way or not.

emm,, i think Jim will forgive Alex. however, Alex told Jim he could take the camera in his dorm. so that Jim dare to take it even though Alex was not in. in my case, Jim shouldnt take the camera if Alex was not in his dorm. but Jim did apologize to Alex,, i think it was a right thing.

haha,You reversed Alex and Jim but I have got your point. All of us even Alex would like to see a happy ending. Good news. I called Alex yesterday and he told me Jim becomes friendly to him since then.Anyway, thanks for sharing your idea.

Sometimes the one who say sorry is not really wrong, out of his humility he say so just to end a misunderstanding. He also say sorry just to please the other party though it hurts, deep inside. Jim would embarrass Alex more next time so Alex must not deal anything with Jim anymore.

haha, yeah it depends on Jim.If he is really a good person, he will feel shamed about his behaviour. But If he keeps same as next time, nobaby has the right to blame him. In this case, he may have few friends.Thank you.

Saying that you are sorry does not typically mean that you are admitting guilt in a situation. Often it just means that you want to mend the feelings in the relationship. someone has to bend first. Often the person who expresses the remorse is not the one to shoulder all of the blame.

The best thing to so is avoid borrowing something from that person (Jim).I guess Jim only wants to make your friend Alex looks stupid and bad. Knowing from your story, Alex asked the favor of borrowing Jim's camera and Jim agreed and even give Alex the permission to take the camera from his boarding house. So, I guess Alex should stop asking any favor from Jim..that's the best thing to do (just my opinion)

I don't think in terms of right or wrong but I do know that the one who does say sorry (no matter if it's forced to say or habit or expected) seldom is. Many people say it to stop the fight, because they don't care about getting their right or they are forced by the most dominant person who does want to win, needs it for his/her self esteem. It's seldom because people really feel sorry.

I agree with you. As long as the fight stopped, he also didnt lose anything. All his colleagues will not negate a person because of one mistake even it is not his mistake. In some cases, maybe the one who say "sorry" first will win finally. Who knows. God have eyes too.

Jim is not a nice guy as he had already given consent for the camera to be taken. He will embarrass him even more in the future.
