Azkals won again!

I am sooo amazed on how our Philippine Football team-the Azkals won the games for the Asian Federation Cup, it is really amazing that these gus represents our country despite of the fact that they were born and breed in other countries. It is so amazing that these guys have the heart to play for us even if there has been alot of offers to play with other stable and well known teams in Asia even in Europe. I am just so glad atleast for the past months that Philippines have been winning alot of awards and medals from different leagues hosted by other countries wheather it be in boxing, basketball or FOOTBALL.

While I am from South East Asia, I don't watch soccer from the region. Not only that, I don't watch soccer from Asia as a whole. No offense, but I find the standard and quality of the game pretty bad.

maybe because it is not our official games, we already know that soccer is an American and European game we are just adopting it so that might be the reason why we really are not soooooo good for now, but I believe later on we would be able to competitively join FIFA world cup, hope so!

Philippine football has been on the rise for the last couple of years. I can't say that they are a strong team now but whomever teams that are playing them, it will not be a simple walkover like what happened in the 1970-90's. My country, Malaysia, used to beat Philippines by big margins in SEA games but it is no longer the case. We even lost to them in a few occasions - unheard of in the old days. I hope all South East Asian teams will improve and play in the World Cup one day.

Yes that is really really what the Philippine team is aiming for , I hope this will come true but then again I still hope that every team should play the game smooth and clean, a game like this is actually a very physical one but then again there are certain times where in it is very clear that some players do some dirty tricks, I hope it is only an isolated case, and management should not tolerate anything like this in the future.

Wow, another feather on their cap, and for our country too. Though they are not full blooded Filipinos, I'm glad that they are representing our country in this field. But I hope also that there will be more pure Filipinos in their team.

I agree...however Ali Borromeo was not able to play since he have some injuries but then again I think Azkals is training alot of Filipino kids to join them in the future because I think the Younghusband's brother have few more years to play so they need protegee hopefully they would be able to encourage more kids to play the game so that we will have a very strong team in the years to come. Long Live the Philippines lol.
