Many people in the world set alarm for wake up in the morning.
I always keep Alarm on my mobile everyday to wake up early in the morning.
But I know there are some people who does not need any Alarm and they wake up with the sun every day, but I am not even getting up even after Alarm rings..
It is impossible for me to wake suddenly after the alarm ring first time.
I will always snooze it and take more time..
Even if I sleep early in the night or i sleep late in the night, wake up with Alarm is not possible for me.And After Getting up also I will sit in the Chair for 5 minutes and then only go into my Daily routine, suddenly become active is also not possible..
Is it possible for you to wake up on the first ring of Alarm and become active suddenly?
or Do you also have the habit of snooze the Alarm every day?Do you have any solution?

I do that, too.. and yes, I also end up still snoozing and waking up only after a few more minutes. But, I do it selectively. If I need to be really early for work or an appointment, I can very well pull myself up from bed once the alarm sounds off. But, in other cases, I'd allow myself to get some more zzzs.

Well, most people here are guilty about doing the same thing. Including myself . Well what I do is a place my phone on a place where I have actually get up just to get it. Because if its just beside me, my body has its own mind that I turn the alarm off, without me fully waking up. And then, when I wake up, I will not remember turning the alarm off.

Yeah, it happens to all of us. We make sure that we turn the alarm on at night, and then when morning comes, we will get surprise to know that the you did not wake up at the right time, and for an unknown reason, your alarm clock was set off. Then you will realize what really happened.

Hello Venkit,
You are not alone.
I have the habit of wake up before the alarms bells but always wait for alarm to tog et up from the bed. When hearing the alarm, my hubby calls me and giving additional information about the time (he is making sure that I heard the alarm). You know what I do, just think about the menu for the kids, supposed to send for them to school, (I decide and fix the same before sleeping) if the menu is easy and consuming less time, I prefer to stay in bed for some more minutes. If the menu is time consuming, then also I feel to stay in bed….then I may think about kids, oh they may get late.. it gives me a quick energy to rush into the kitchen.

Actually, waking up in a specific and a set time is just a kind of habit. If we get used to do a certain activity in let say one month straight, it will come out naturally in our system.
Setting an alarm is just our way of making sure that we would not forget our set time. I am also doing that act of snoozing the alarm especially when I am really tired and still want to take some extension, and it is just normal. Making myself active right after I heard the alarm I found possible if I am determined to get up, actually, it will not happened suddenly, but realizing that it will only make me spoiled myself to stay in bed, I got up and do some simple stretching to wake up my nerves and system. And it will follow the routine naturally. Snoozing an alarm is just normal. Happy mylotting.

I don't really use an alarm but when I used to, I always used to hit snooze. And really when the alarm went off, I just always felt a bit more tired than I would have just woken up naturally at the same time. And I wouldn't have woke up much later, maybe about five minutes. Five minutes really isn't all that much time.
But there was really just something about an alarm clock going up, so I tended to hit the snooze button a lot of the time. Of course, I just woke up shortly thereafter anyway, so the point is rather moot to say the very least. But it is just something about the alarm going off that caused me to slam on that snooze button. The main reason why I don't use an alarm clock anymore, it just has no point. I wake up fine on my own anyway.

I have a bad habit of hitting the snooze button too in the morning. Especially if its a day where I don't have anything to do until the afternoon, then I may hit the snooze button multiple times. I was reading about something called "light therapy" (you can read more about it at the Mayo Clinic website), where a device called a light box simulates sunlight to wake you up in the morning. It is used to treat people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) but I've been told it has the simple effect of "waking you up" if you sit in front of it for a few minutes first thing after waking up.

It actually depends on the circumstance as to why I need to wake up. I usually find myself beating the alam before it rings whenever I need to be up for something important (a flight, a meeting, or a special event). However, like you, I also snooze off after the alarm sounds whenever there's no great need for me to wake up anyways.
I guess my brain is programmed that way, it knows when the alarm is important and when it needs to be ignored.
Anyhow, I think you get to the point of waking up without need for alarms if you have been doing it for a long time. One example would be my father, he goes to church every morning and he wakes up at 5:30am on-the-dot without the need for alarms, why? well, he has been doing it since he was 12-years-old.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I use my mobile phone's alarm every morning to wake me up for work. I set it at least 5 minutes earlier than my actual waking time, and snooze it for 5 minutes before I finally wake up. Then I go directly to the bathroom to take a bath, it's the start of my day.

When I have to use an alarm for an appointment I will set it for the latest I can then yes I get up when the alarm goes off.
I had a ex that would hit the snooze four or five times with no regard that I got home at 2 to 3 am in the morning and needed my sleep.
I just set mine for the latest and then I know I have had the most uninterupted sleep I can get.
But I do have to get up or sometimes I will fall back to sleep so I make myself get up.
But normally if I have an early appt I will go to bed earlier at night so I will wake up earlier.
if you notice yourself feeling tired after you get up, its because you are hitting the snooze button. then when you Have to get up, its a psychological thing in your body.
There have been many sleep studies done on this with the interruption in sleep with snooze alarms.
Hope you can change your style. You may find as you get older its harder for you to adjust.

Most of the time I wake up before the alarm, so I wake up without it.
But I tend to set like 3 alarm times, in case I can't get up easily... if I get up for the first time, I have at least an hour to get ready, If I can't, I have to be in a hurry. I don't think snoozing the alarm is a good idea, even though I do it too, because it's easy to forget about getting up after snoozing and snoozing again.

I still don't understand why people do that, I see some of my friends do that too. They like to snooze alarm and back to sleep some more minutes... so what's the purpose of setting alarm?? why they don't just set alarm at the exact time they want to wake up?? really I don't understand. me personally, I don't like alarm, I tried once and it gives me headache for the whole day. Someone just need to say my name, don't need to scream or touch me softly (don't shake me) and I will wake up right away.

As a suggestion, I would say, you have to allot at least 6 hours of sleep, best if you can have 8 hours for a fully refreshing morning. Go to bed early, so you won't have a hard time waking up the next day. And, maybe select a really disturbing alarm sound...i tried that, and it worked for me.

yeah the same thing happens with me everytime. i usually wake up at a time that i am not supposed to as i always keep on snoozing my alarm till i am done with my sleep. Because of this i have also faced a lot of trouble reaching my coaching classes or college on time. I believe it is very very difficult to get up on the first ring of the alarm.

When I first started using an alarm clock, I had the same problem. I would hit the snooze button, and try for another 5 minutes sleep. I usually ended up being late for work. I decided to switch alarm clocks, opting for a fancy multi-alarm clock. The alarm would go off, but not a shrieking noise (important), It would start off with a simple, soothing sound, slowly getting louder and changing tone and rhythm(also important) When it had reached its crescendo (climax) I was fully awake, without feeling like I needed more sleep.
Important factors: The loud, obnoxious, shrieking alarms basically attack your nervous system, kicking you awake. In deep sleep, or if our body believes we need more sleep, our mind will try to incorporate our alarm clock so as to minimize the shock to the system. I no longer use an alarm clock and when I need to be awake at a certain time, I mentally tell myself a few times when I have to be up. I wake up within a few minutes of desired time and start my day without the groggy feeling. Try it!
