To enjoy life, it doesn't necessarily follow that you need to spend a big sum of money. Well, I agree that money helps you achieve a satisfying life but it's not the be-all and end-all of everything. Like, playing badminton with your sister on a weekend in the park, going to a place that you haven't been before with your boyfriend and having a cone of ice cream while chatting with your friend. Simple things can make one's life enjoyable depending on how creative of you without spending so much... Have an enjoyable day! ^^

Yes, being happy does not necessarily mean one must have lots of money to spend. We must learn to accept what we have and be satisfied with it not what we could not have and feeling sorry for it. Not all things can be bought, even some rich people are not happy with their lives because they are too busy enriching themselves.

Yes, contentment is one thing that we should practice in life. Learning to accept what we can not have and be happy on what we have. There are many ways that could make us happy, just be creative or imaginative and think of things that would make us enjoy life without spending much.

Yes being content is very important. That is why the majority of people are unhappy and in a lot of debt. They are not content with the necessities of what is needed to take care of one's self. There are so many influences that say we need more of this and that to be happy. When really what makes us the happiest we are already have in our life.

Yes, right. I agree. There are so many things we can enjoy even without
spending too much. It just takes creativity and the people you love
and you'll enjoy wherever you go and whatever you do.

I agree being creative is important. I'm not that creative but I' m working on thinking new things to do and activities to take part in for my family. Especially with the weather getting nicer it will be a good thing for us to spend more time together.

Yeah I agree with you. So many people who have a lot of money are miserable. It is really crazy to think about. Because so many people spend a lot of time and energy striving after riches thinking it will make them happy only to end up unhappy.Having a simple eye and mind set I think is best for me and my family. Focusing on things that are most important which doesn't cost much is so much better.

I agree with that, there are a lot of cheap or free ways to enjoy life, sometimes we just have to be a litte creative and think of alternative ways of doing things. Some of the free or cheaps things that I enjoy are are picnics at the beach, a walk in the sculpture park on my island, a walk in the old of centre of my town where we can see the old houses and the old windmill, an icecream or a cup of coffee near the lake, flea markets where we can find lots of cheap things, second hand bookshops and visits to the library. At my local library we borrow a lot of things for instanse cds and dvds. My husband and watch a lot of free movies that way and we also borrow many kinds of music.

I agree with you that being creative does help. We've got to think outside of the box in order to come up with new ways of doing things and enjoying our life. Picnics are a great way to do something that is cheap and fun. I too love our local library it is such an asset. It is great to be able to think of cheap things to do that everyone in the family enjoys.

Money can't buy everything but sometimes you need to spend just a little in order to become happy. You are right, having friends or family with you in simple ways doesn't mean that you are going to spend too much.
I just remember the commercial of Mastercard or Visa (I forgot what it is exactly). They shown how much they spend on travel, food, toys, but the happiness it gives to a person is definitely priceless.

Yeah money definitely can't buy everything. Money is useful but it is not everything. When a person strives after money it creates more problems and they may continue to strive after it because they aren't satisfied. That is why it is important for us to be satisfied and content.

Appreciating simple things that we have and counting our blessings is important for us to enjoy life.It is not necessary to be expensive to enjoy life, just enjoy the thins that we have rather than longing for more to enjoy.

I agree with you. We need to focus on the simple things. Generally the things that brings the most happiness are the simple things in life. When are content with providing for our family then it frees up time for us to do things we enjoy with our family and friends.

I agree... Sometimes the cheaper things are more fun, actually, than blowing a lot of money.. I took a mini-road trip with a friend a few months ago and had a blast just walking around - I think I spent less than $20 that entire weekend. And then you don't have buyer's (or 'spenders') remorse. Happy MyLotting!

I often feel better when I do things that I enjoy and I didn't have to spend a lot of money. That is awesome that you were able to take a trip with your friend and that you spent very little. I will definitely work on that as far when we go out of town. I'm a big fan for going to nice restaurants.

Well I do agree to say the very least, that you don't need to spend a great deal of money to enjoy a lot of life. Of course, a lot of people really don't see that. They feel rather obsessed with making a lot of money, most likely so they can spend a lot of money. Yet for those who get in a situation where they spend too much money, they are going to be in a tight spot when the money is not there.
And those who are scrapping for money to get the things that we do need, that is really not a way that is conductive to really enjoy a lot of life. So there is no need to spend a lot of money. In fact, some of the better things in life, are just a bit cheaper, just able to spend far less money, just to really enjoy life. But some people don't see that.

I agree with you. We don't have to be rich in order to enjoy life. The most important things in life are really simple. Family, housing, water and food, clothing are essential for life. When we have the necessary means to provide for ourselves and our family we can be content and enjoy life. It's when we start thinking that we need everything else that we run into trouble.

Yes, there is a saying that " its the thought that counts" If we learn to appreciate life, even little things will make us happy.

I completely agree with that saying. Little things in life are truly the best. When we think things through and do acts and deeds out of love it doesn't have to cost a lot. We can send a person a card, call them, visit them, etc. Things like this make life enjoyable when we are able to do things we like and help others.
