People often say that online friends aren't true friends. Sometimes the same people who want to be friends on social sites act like they don't know you in person. Should you keep them as online friends anyway?

I personally have several friends that i made online, never met them irl though. I understand why people can be wary regarding this issue, but as long as you don't divuldge any important personal information, there's nothing to be worried about.

Some of the people that are my "friends" are really people that just wanted to follow me or be nosey. I've learned to just let it be because hopefully they see something that could help them out.

Well, for me online friends and offline friends at two different things. Since most online friends you would get is kinda what you want they to be, and offline friends are what they actually are instead. I think we should not keep someone that we know offline as online friends since that's just wrong. Offline friends are actually healthier if you know who your friends are than just stuck in front your computer chatting with them all day without know who they really is.

I think not all of them aren't true friend. I have two best friend I met online four years ago. Our friendship are for true, we flew from New York and Kansas and Atlanta just for we can get together. We celebrate each other anniversary and we talk about everything that we can talk with other best friend who we met offline. SO I guess true friend or not it depends on the person how they are going to put their friendship.
