how often do you clean up your closet and throw away old clothes?

I have a yearly routine of digging in to my closet to find clothes I could no longer wear. I place them all in a big bag and keep them aside to donate as relief goods when there are calamities. Sometimes there are also groups of people going around our subdivision asking for used clothing, especially during Christmas season, so I give them away.
I used to do garage sale with friends, in small barangays, where there are people who would be happy to buy used clothing at very low prices. Then, I use the money I earn to buy something new for myself.

I always find 'garage sales' very interesting but I never tried it before.
I usually clear my cupboard twice a year. Usually I do that when the Mega Sales
is on, I tend to shop for my new clothes. Since the cupboard has limited space,
I will go through all the old clothes and packed to give to the church, welfare
homes or at times I bring back to my hometown(for my relatives because some
of the clothes are very new, I hardly wears them). I will packed again just
before Christmas

Yes, it's fun to have a garage sale. I experienced having one when I was younger. But, now, I'm a little embarrassed to have one, because the neighborhood is not very conducive to this kind of gig.

I do the same thing. I try to sell my old stuff in a much cheaper price. I do this along with the stuff my sisters in law. It is kinda fun.

Are you selling on ebay, or in face to face transactions?
I find it hard to sell, even a brand new item on ebay.

I always clean my closet like every three months or sometimes more frequent. I always like to keep it updated. I usually throw away clothes that I know I'm not gonna use anymore. I also keep them for donations when opportunity comes.

Good for you. You must be in to fashion and clothing to have the urge to keep your closet updated that often. You're lucky.

I clean up my closet once a month because there are times when we miss out on the old clothes that can either be used as dusting or cleaning clothes or that can be donated to NGO's and orphanages.
The best way to clean your closet is collect all old, small, tight clothes that are there in your closet and put them up for auction/garage sale so that the funds collected can be used for other good causes like donation to charities etc or tie up with an orphanage and donate them there.

Those are good tips to clean up and earn money.
How often do you do garage sales?
I'd really like to have one, too, but a little embarrassed to have it here in our subdivision. I may have to take it somewhere more suitable.

Every time I'm inspired to update my wardrobe.
I always see different outfits from celebrities or fashion
inspirations, and I usually get inspired at looking
at cute outfits and combinations. That makes me inspired to
update my closet by throwing those that I know I will not wear again.
I don't literally throw them off, I just sometimes make them
s my house clothes, sometimes I give them to my little cousin
as hand-me-downs, sometimes as donations, sometimes
as gifts to less fortunate friends.

Good for you, you can afford to always be in touch with the latest in fashion. I suggest, you don't get too trigger happy to dispose your clothes that are still in good condition, because fashion right now seems to come back over time. Even retro fashion still continues to haunt the present.

That's a good idea! It's almost BER-months, so perhaps, you can start scouting for clothes to add up on your garage sale rack.

As I am still a students, i do not have enough money to buy new clothes,so i try to make ful use of them.
Usually I like through the clothes after I graduate. I once threw the clothes away when i graduate from high school and after finish my undergraduate education I threw the clothes i wore in that period. I think after I get my PHD degree, I will threw the clothes and buy new ones for work.

That's a good idea to be making the most of what you have. Especially, that you don't earn your own money, yet. You're a thoughtful daughter/son (can't be so sure) to your parents, for not demanding for shopping money to buy new clothes every so often.
