Hello, How are you today? Do you have a facebook? How do you like it? Is it addicting? do you think it's bad? If you have kids do you let them use it? If you don't have kids would you let your future kids use it? Why or why not? Do you think there should be a limit on how many friends you can have on there? Like right now the limit is 5 thousand do you think they should lower the limit . or stay the same? or higher it? Thank you for your replys

i love facebook. i have been using it for years now, or at least from the time facebook was known. for me it is not addictive, i just make fun leaving comments or wall posts and uploading photos and get some likes, reconnect with loved ones and friends who are far away from me. with regards the limit of having friends, i think that they should lower the limit so as to avoid conflict in managing its database, and also to avoid slower facebook connection.

Oh ya.. good point with the faster facebook part. I think your actually right about that maybe they should lower the limit I don't know though i always thought they should higher it for people who have jobs as famous people but then there is the fan pages but fan pages are different from actually profiles and I love the profiles more then the actual fan pages but that's just my opinion and ya I been on facebook for a long time maybe since freshman year? and i'm alot older now so ya it's a cool site and i'm on it pretty much daily

Oh awesome. thanks for your input. im glad you are doing fine. how is facebook like mylot I'm kinda confused by that. do you mean it's the same as you can meet new people and talk. but you can't really earn any money from facebook instead it takes your money to play games and stuff and what do you mean by "benefit friends" do you add people you don't know or just people you know?

Facebook are full of nasty people too - Facebook is a double edged sword.
Any usage of the internet especially to social network should be monitored by the parents especially if the users are children, just like in public children are advised not to talk to strangers and such , so are the same danger in the world wide network, facebook is a tool also for nasty people. So becarefull too.

Well, I also have a facebook account and I really like it. At first I was addicted to it because of the games I played that need to be tended but now I limit myself to reading news feeds and connecting with my friends. About limiting friends, 5th is already too many for me, my friends haven't reached 1th.

Hi mariah. i am also enjoying facebook since it's really easy to connect with people that we know or we want to know. But some some it's an addiction with the games, or just simply get online and stay there for hours doing nothing. This is actually unhealthy and bad for children and teenagers nowadays. This is also one of the big wave that has come to internet like before friendster and myspace and also youtube, but i think youtube is the same wave as facebook. But as i see it now, based on my friends, most of them are actually get on with their social life on the offline now and rarely get online. Just like myspace, they are bored with it. These kind of things take times to pass by but now or later, it would be.

Hi there Mariah!:) I would not say I am addicted to Face book BUT I am addicted to playing the sims social on face book. As far as friends, I would not want 5 thousand friends but I can understand that limit for someone who plays a lot of games. The more neighbors you have for those games the funner the game gets.and in order to have neighbors they need to be added as your friends. I think the age limit should be higher then 13.. With all the bullying going on and also the dangers of online predators and such..

I use Facebook everyday. I only opened it for my blogs just like I did a Twitter account. I did personalize my page and add plenty of photos but I don't really have a lot of real friends on there or people I care for. It's mostly for business use. I did find three friends I had not seen in years and now keep in touch , so that was great. But all in all I am not a big facebook fanatic and if I didn't need it to promote my blog I would either cancel it or just keep my real three friends.

hi there, well i guess i love Facebook because i am on everyday LOL i keep checking on my updates and messages and also check on friends and my boyfriend. i don't have that much friends, because i don't even know 1000 people LOL those are just spies and fake people. i always have a list and adjust my privacy settings. i think it's okay if my kids use Facebook in the future, just as long as they know their limitations. i think i'll let my kids use Facebook when they reach a certain age. we'll see.

I use facebook to connect with my old friends that I don't have contact with a long time ago, they are my friends and classmates from elementary, til college and some relatives and family member. I don't usually add strangers because that's risky. and I don't think that it's addictive, but I saw some of my friends that post many status in a day, like they are always on-line, but I'm not sure if they are addicted to it... I think facebook is good just need to use it right.

Hi Mariah, I feel great today thanks for asking and I hope you are doing fine as well. I used to have a facebook account for a reason I closed it and I dont know when I will be able to reactive my Facebook account because I lost the email address and the password hahaha maybe I will need to register a new email and open a new account. But talking about facebook I dont consider myself as a facebook lover because when I was still using facebook I dont update my status too often, as I remember most of the people on my friend list was family and only few friends so I dont think it is a matter whether I have fb or not because they still can contact me with other way. hahahaha my friend list was about 57 so I dont care about the limit of 5000 friends on facebook. I dont think facebook is bad, because everything has two side the good side and the bad side. I think it is depend on us what is our purpose to use facebook, how do we use it, somehow it can help us to communicate with long distance relatives. When I have kids later I would allow them to use facebook but I want them to use facebook after they meet the requirement of age, I would tell my kids to use social networking sites wisely like not giving too many information about ourself like address, phone number etc and then I would tell my kids to be aware of internet predator, and also to becareful with what they write on social networking.

Hey! I am addicted to Facebook! I love it because it is a way I can keep up with my friends and communicate with them. Some of my friends have passed away and Facebook is a place that we can keep out memories of them alive. I get on Facebook everyday, multiple times aday. I even have a Facebook app on my phone that I check constantly, for status updates, phote updates of events that I was not able to attend, and event updates so that I can save to my calender to remind me of them. I dont have kids now, but someday I will, and depending how much they keep changing Facebook, will determind if I let my kids have one at a younger age or make them wait till highschool. But I will definitely monitor their facebook because there are people out there that dont care about young users, and they will post whatever they want such as half naked photos, bad language, some people bully others on there and younger children shouldnt have to be exposed to that. But I use facebook to keep up with friends and family that dont live close to me.

It's nice to have facebook for communication to your friends and family. For my child I will just teach her the do's and don'ts like it's okay to spend some time on facebook but not for the whole time, there is a limit for that. Study first still the priority. I think 5 thousand is very low since majority of the people around the world are using it.

Facebook i good and it is bad also. From my experience, facebook connects me to family and relatives i would like to keep track of. It helped me find my dear friends and communicate with them again. It also is a good way to send important information necessary for school and office work. The bad ones are some of my friends in facebook are sometimes people i don't like. Sometimes it becomes a venue of exchanging bad words or fighting and boasting of whats happening in their life. No matter how i try to limit my friends to close ones and love ones, i still cannot avoid being "seen" by others. It is not addicting, but i would not recommend it to children. With regards number of friends, we should be the one to limit.

I never have a FB account, and have no intention to get one either. For some reasons it's just not appealing to me. Almost everyone I know in my family and friends have it and I'm aware of its status as the most popular social networking site there is. My sons are teenagers, and I have no problems for them using FB. I trust them enough and I'm comfortable with their level of maturity to judge what are appropriate and what are not while using FB; they should be able to enjoy the positive experiences with FB and steer clear of any potential harms caused by FB.
