Every pet I think takes a lot of work and you have to clean up feed and walk or bathe what ever animal you get.
I used to have a turtle that was pretty easy to take care of.

Hello deadline and welcome to myLot. Choosing a pet can be very interesting. We have had several different kinds of pets from dogs to toads and birds. Choosing the right pet depends on how much time and care you want to spend with them. MY self I would chose a kitten. I think they have a lot of personality and are easy o care for. Keep water and food in front of them, and keep their litter cleaned and they are happy. Some cats like to interact with people. Now a dog of any kind needs more attention than a cat. They need to be taken for walk for their elimination if you don't have a yard. If you do have a yard then you have to pick up the feces every day. In my experience dogs demand more attention than cats do.

As for the selection of an animal it would be best if you choose to bring up a dog of your choice.Whatever be the breed, the dog is friendly, lovable and of course faithful. When it comes to birds it would be a Parrot who would though be inside a cage would respond to most of your responses.

I have experience with dogs, cat, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds, but I think it is hard to recommend a pet, because your choice depends on many things. Different pets have different needs and they involve different kinds of responsibities. If you choose a dog you will have to walk the dog every day and train it. If you choose a rabbit or a guinea pig you will have to clean the cage, but you don't have to think about daily walks and that kind of things.
Another thing that you should think about is the place where you live. If it is a rented place, there might be restrictions about the types of pets that you are allowed to have. If it is your own place you don't have to worry about that. I also think it is a good idea to think about the size of your home. If it is small place a small pet like a guinea pig or a rabbit might be a might choice than a dog because a dog needs more space.

choose a pet that is accustomed and affectionate to humans. A dog or a cat, in your case I'd suggest a dog. Birds want to be free, you know.

I don't actually know or have any experience with pet since my parents never let me keep anything alive in our house. But what i can tell is that you should and check out those sugar glider. They are very cute and you would never have to worried to lose them when they are small. I don't know when they grew up that they would be, but when they are small they are very cute and always stay by your side if you take them out of the cage. My friends always bought them to school and let it walk around his body, even then taking his exams. But as far as i know, they are not very easy to handle and you have to feed it on time, let it sleep when the time come and etc. But looking at my friends, they look easy when handling them. You should check it out and more about handling it since i can't be much help here.

I can't say that I'm an expert with animals or, in this case, pets, however I suggest you get yourself a dog. Like what they always say, "Dogs are man's best friend.", and I for one, agree with this. They'll be your loving and sweet little friends. I have two dogs and both of them are amazing on how they make me feel loved. It really takes my exhaustion away. They would sit beside me and lie their heads on my lap, waiting for me to cuddle them. Regarding with the handling of the dogs, I can honestly say to you that it takes effort on your first few months. This will really tire you up. But then, looking at them everyday...on how they eagerly wag their tails, all that effort is worth it.
