Anybody had success with coops?

When I was in GDI, I was attracted to join several coops that promises to give me 6 referrals in my 1st level up to the 5th level. I was really excited about joining them, and I joined 3 different coops at the same time, thinking that later on I can receive 18 referrals in my 1st level from those three, and then I could reach greater and greater income as my 1st level referrals get's their own 6 referrals...and so on. It turns out that 2 of the coops I joined stopped their coops completely and I was left with 1 coop who later changed their marketing plans, and therefore I needed to register again to them and lose the rotation position I have worked hard on for several months. In short, with the 3 GDI coops I joined I only met with disappointment. I see other coops from other sites that looks promising, so I want to ask if anyone of you has joined any online business with a successful coop? You can also share your experience with coops that didn't work so we will know what not to join.

A very interesting topic of discussion indeed. I must have to keep an eye on the different responses on this topic.

Thank again for this valuable discussion. Would you kindly explain what I need to do if I join any of the sites you have mentioned?

Sorry to hear about that. Well I'm not sure also if I'm going to try these coops again due to what happened before. But maybe in the future I might, If I had a lot more extra money and if the online business and the coop don't take a lot of money. I heard that F5M-Millionaire only requires a member to pay a one-time membership of $5 and then the coop is free, so this is one of those I'm considering now.

I'm going to guess you joined GDI and left after the first month when you got no sign ups, right? I did that in 1998 when GDI first started and then again in 2002. I want to earn residual income to subsidize my income when I retire and I've tried so many programs over the past 8 years or so and I finally accepted that GDI is the only one that I can have any potential for success with. I signed up again in 2010 and have stuck with them ever since.
I have tried a few COOPs over the years and none of them have worked for me. But what I've learned from them is that I don't need them. Why join and compete with others who aren't going to benefit you anyway. It took me awhile to figure it out, but what I have done is installed a URL rotator and basically created my own CoOp. So far, I have managed to keep 3 loyal downline members who have similar goals.
My recommendation would be to not join COOPs and focus on getting your own members. Once you get the magic 5 on your first line, start helping those folks to get new members by showing then how to do the same.
Cheers,
Stan

By GDI do you mean Global Domains International? If so I am trying with that too and would like to know more about these coops so that I may get some referrals too. Also if there is anyone else here who is with GDI and is having that work for them.

Yes AppleAnnie, it's GDI. Coops are really attractive, and now the only GDI coop that has a positive vibration to me is GDI Team Elite. Some say you can get your 6 1st level referrals as fast as 3 to 6 months. If they are able to give your 6 referrals in 6 months, and they too get their referrals in 6 months, then I think in a few years you can already retire. Anyway, for now I plan to probably rest from GDI and when I'm ready I would probably try it again.
