I actually try to limit myself a lot when I go shopping. I give myself maybe 30 dollars to spend each week and I try very hard not to go over that budget. I avoid one store because I know I will spend more than I would like to there. I can easily spend over 100 dollars in there just buying loose leaf tea and tea cups. I would like to be able to just walk through a mall and not be tempted to buy anything.

I go to malls if my best friend invited me to go to malls. I did not spend any a single dime at the malls. I only spend my money if we are going to ride a jeep. She is always the one who treat me food… anything. I cannot buy clothes at the mall. I have old clothes in the closet, but I cannot buy new clothes. I do not have money to spend money to buy clothes and even if I have money, I still have to saved it, no matter what happen especially here on mylot. I really cannot spend a single penny that I earn here on mylot to buy anything I want. I have to saved it until I invest it to other programs and make it big before I can buy a new clothes.
Oh my gosh… I think that would take years. I am not so sure.

It is difficult to treat a girl if we don't have money isn't it? So the most important is to saved money first before anything else. We have to use our brain before we do something very risky. We should think for the future first before anything else.

When i go to mall, i usually go alone, buy things those are essential first; if there is money left, i buy other stuff, less important only..

i go to malls weekly for groceries and for some entertainment. i try to budget my spending between $20 to $30. in this time of ever increasing inflation, expenses have gone up tremendously and we have to limit ourselves for minimum.

you are right. i used to budget initially for @25 but then i learnt that it is not enough after a period of time so at times, the expenses cross the budget figure and we have to smile for wrong budgeting

When I go to malls I always end up spending more then I plan to. So, lately I been giving myself a goal to only spend about 50 dollars less then what I plan to spend that way I dont go way over what I want to spend. I mostly try and spend under 100 dollars.

It actually depends on what I'm doing there. But for a regular visit I normally spent three hundred pesos but when grocery..ing seven hundred pesos is the lowest. I normally visits mall once a week or once in every two weeks. I love eating at jollibee when I want a chicken joy and when I want I burger I love to go to mcdonalds.

Hi Acie! I'm not sure if you've noticed this, but I have with my last few trips to the grocery or malls. I usually spend P250 for a meal when I go to a mall, since this is like my treat for myself, so I splurge. I used to be able to grocery shop for P500 since it's just for two people, but for the last two months I am paying P800 for my groceries! I haven't added or changed any of the items that I buy. It's the same usual stuff that I need everyday, like coffee, creamer, sugar. And I also buy meats at the grocery (the big mall supermarkets) since I find that the meats bought here last longer in terms of shelf life when placed in the freezer.
I am a big girl at 5'8" and a little chubby so I cannot buy blouses with your budget! I hate it when I go to a boutique then ask for the biggest size with the store clerk eyeing me as if I am a freak when I ask for the largest size they have on stock. And the largest size won't fit me. On close inspection, it will fit my ten year old niece. When asked, the clerks would tell me that they sell Asian or Hong Kong size clothes. How big is the difference? So that our Western friends can relate to what I am saying, I am a size 8-10 when my brothers bring shirts and clothes for me from the US. Most of the shirts that I have come from the US because they fit me well and this size isn't even that big. It's like medium or large. But here in the Philippines, I need to buy a blouse that say 4xxx or 4 times the largest size and I tell you this comes with a hefty price. When I lay my 4xxx and size 8 blouse side by side or on top of each other, the size 8 is even bigger than that 4xxx. So when it comes to buying clothes at our local mall, I have to budget half of my salary just to buy clothes that will fit me.

I'm shopping about 2-3 times a day and i must say it has taken a toll on my personal budgeting.. lol :D But it's alright though because i'm spending it on my love ones so i dun mind the money so long it's well spent, making her happy, as a form of reward ^^ In your case, it's common because u have to take care of your baby's needs. Since their growing up stage is fast, it's natural for their things to be expensive.. haha According to some research out there in singapore, it states, parents needs about $1million in supporting their children all the way to university. lol :D I wonder how true is that but u can consider calculating all your cost, see if it matches up.. haha

When I go shopping how much I spend really just varies. I usually buy more hygenic needs and grocery needs then anything else. I might buy myself something new but when it comes to clothes it's usually work related that I will buy new. I spend anywhere from $10.00 to $75.00 per grocery shopping trip, for hygenic needs anywhere from $3.00 to $12.00 and for clothing needs anywhere from $15.00 to $27.00.

Hi,
The usual is my family and I go to the shopping mall nearby 2 times a month. We shop for grocery. We also have lunch there. We usually spend about RM 200 to RM 500 ( US$1.00= RM 3.20) each time. Sometimes, we go for movies.

I only do my grocery once needed. Like today, I went to the grocery store to buy all the stuff I needed and I try to make sure I only spend like 1000 pesos or even less. I don't want to spend my money tho those less important things so budget wise it has only have to be that amount and not more. I also spend a lot on food than clothing, I am not a fat person but I just love to eat. Yesterday, I was with a friend and we tried this coffee shop since we both haven't tried it there, and we spent like 400 pesos for coffee and cake. After which, we ate dinner at Sbarro and you know their crazy slice of pizza and spent like 500 pesos there. Good thing the dinner was free, so my budget on food was still intact for that day.

It depends on what I need. I tend to not go anywhere without a purpose and without a plan of what I am buying. So I have a general idea of what I am going to buy right before I head right out of the door, to really not spend too many dollars above a fixed amount. Granted it is likely wise to bring some extra money just in case of an emergency.
I think that really I don't make too many pleasure trips, just rather practical things. Then again, a great deal of those purchases for things that I want as opposed to things are need are done on the Internet and once again, those are planned out right to the level. Obviously when there are more people, there are more needs and a carefully balanced budget.

Whenever we go to malls we spend a little more as only doing window shopping is not possible . Every time we find something unigue we just buy it .
Not only this but my daughter goes to play games in funcity and after that afcose we will eat something and as we all know food is really costly there.

Well, when I go to malls, I will spend what I need. However if there is sale or good bargain, I will purchase and save the items for later.
I always like to buy sale items and make sure they are valuable. I know I work hard and deserve a treat occasionally.

I don´t buy groceries at malls, I have a big supermarket near my home. I go there maybe once a week, maybe less. And I don´t have a budget really for clothes. I am retired and the most I buy are underwear when needed. Groceries and meds are my biggest buys.

I rarely go to malls now, maybe once every other month. That's because I live in a small town now and malls are too far away, so I only go there if I have to go to bigger towns and have some extra time to spend. Even when I lived close to malls, I didn't really go there to shop a lot. Most stores in our malls are quite expensive, so i rather just look around without shopping. I usually buy food at the market or grocery store.

I don`t go to a mall just like that, I go to buy the object that I want and that`s it, without any extra things and wasting money.

Well. I don't go to malls very often. But usually when i go, i would only spend like only $20-$30 and thats max of what i usually spend. Because usually when i go to mall with my friends, we will actually plan it first like go for movies or eat. While most of the times we would go for movies and most of the time we would only go for movies and then hangs out other places outside the mall.
