Do You Know Anyone With A Fake Laugh?

I can't think of anyone at the moment that I know but there was definitely a woman on the Press Preview on Sky News with a phony laugh. It went through me every time she er..cackled. One person that has the most famous fake laugh is the lovely Kate Humble. Anyone outside the UK won't know who I'm on about I don't think but she could be quite nauseating on wildlife programmes doing her usual fake giggling. Why it annoys me I don't know..but it does. Mind you, she's better than Chris Packham and he invites people onto his land to shoot deer...and is supposed to be an animal lover! 'Nuff said, no wonder Kate's leaving "Springwatch" and "Autumnwatch." Bring back Bill Oddie! What on EARTH is she on about now. Dunno. Lol.

There's always someone on TV shows with a shrill fake laugh. That canned laughter drives me mad as it always gets applied to the unfunniest scenes. Kate Humble irritates me simply because she does. Plus Adam from Countryfile bugs the life out of me. All his "it's tough being a farner" and then delegating most of his farm work to what apoears to be an army of employees!

Is Adam the one who has loads of animals killed every week because there's something wrong with..er..one of them so all of them have to be culled. He's not very lucky is he!

I don't know anyone with a fake laugh, but I do know quite a few with fake smiles. That can be just as annoying at times as she grins a cheshire cat smile and you just know she is being fake about it. What is even worse, is that most people are oblivious and think she is the nicest person ever who doesn't stop smiling! Ugh, it just gives me the creeps even thinking about it!

Haha! I know what you mean. It's weird how people fall for them too isn't it..the fake smiles.

I know a few people who have a fake laugh and I truly hate interacting with them. Since I can't do the fake laugh, I don't know how to respond and it is highly irritating to interact with someone who has a fake smile or a fake laugh.

I reckon it must be harder faking a laugh than using a real one. I agree, people with fake laughs are extremely irritating and off-putting, actually. My Mum once told me to warn her if "I ever start laughing after every sentence as it's a sign I'm ancient" lol.

Is she a television presenter ? If so,It must be a fitting laugh if she is allowed to do it.At least ,people that watch it don't feel repulsion at it.Chris Packham is known as an English naturalist ,how come he invites others onto his land to shoot deer? It's pass all belief!

Yes, Kate Humble is a television presenter. She has her own farm in Monmouthshire so she is limiting her time on the two programmes I mentioned and is doing specials instead, as far as I know. She's a "proper" animal lover, unlike Packham. He reckons the deer are overpopulated on his land so he doesn't mind people shooting them occasionally. My answer would be..sterilisation? It's done with cats and dogs, why not deer?

Judging from what you said,Kate Humble is an animal lover and very well off. However her laugh must be from the bottom of her heart.I agree with you,,Packham ought to sterilize the deer.It is better than slaughtering them.

There's one where I work and she thinks she's got an amazing laugh! I wonder how she misses out on the weird looks she receives from everyone around that clearly voice what's on their mind - 'ah! here she goes again!' :D

I can easily see the fake laughs of some people, it shows in their facial expressions. If I do determined that it was a fake personality, I managed to move away from them. They will never see me mingling with them.

A few years ago, someone was visiting four houses over from me, and had the most horrific and LOUD laugh... obviously if I heard it in my yard. She would laugh every few seconds. It drove me up the wall.

That's the worst kind of laugh isn't it? The one where they're not really laughing at anything..bit like those people who think modern comedians are funny!

Most people have a fake laugh or like they say in the oountry my husband lives: the plastic smile. Many are raised not to show their real feelings, they always have to smile. I even saw this as a rule at the SOS child vilages: always smile! Must be hard always hiding your feelings, always smiling, never be straight, to lie to yourself.

I agree so much with your last sentence my friend. Being fake isn't the way to go is it? This is why I'm so in awe of our Queen because it's not obvious to me she has a fake smile and she has to do it day after day. Must drive her nuts!

It can be so annoying. I have a fake laugh too though so it gets twisted lol. I trip off people's laughs with my sister.

It must be difficult using a fake laugh. I wouldn't know where to start lol.
