Mega giant internet based online auction giant may someday see their demise, but in the mean-time ebay is still receiving healthy customer sales despite many sellers who have left ebay to sell their merchandise at other alternative websites. How do you feel about eBay fees and business practices, even though they have a A+ rating from the Better Business Organization?

I've been using ebay for some of my online purchases. I have no problems with it so far. If i want to purchase something from outside the country, Ebay would be my first choice, unless nothing is available.

It's worth it, depending on what you are selling, because it gets more traffic than any other auction site. I find so many great deals on there, I love it.

I have been a ebay seller for over three years, and I have sold many great items on ebay, but the problem is that the buyers look for great deals, and they may not even be aware that the percentage of the sale is more in favor of ebay. Contact 90% of ebay sellers - and they will undoubtedly voice their displeasure about eBay new policies. eCRATER is a much better community for the seller, and buyers alike. Stop giving eBay so much credit, check out eCRATER.com and you will come to find that there are wonderful deals on this site, with the addition of many great and responsible sellers.

They went through a phase that actually stopped me from selling on their for quite some time. They wouldn't allow digital sales which is how I send my hand made patterns for knitting and crochet. This ticked me off more so because people where selling (still are) codes for webkinz digitally and they where allowed to but I couldn't send an email!. I went back to selling things on Ebay I will admit. But not my crafts or patterns they are all on Etsy. Just the things I couldn't sell on Etsy like clothing and what not. There is just better bidders there on Ebay then other places.

Thank you for your comment to this post. This is one of the things that disturb me most about ebay buyers, it is their shopping experience - which they are duped into believing that eBay is the best place to shop, which is not true. The only way to change how a majority of people use the internet to shop - is to give them confidence that they will receive a great deal, in addition to super customer service. To fight against the big dogs, you must get people involved in what you are selling, what your mission is, what you have to offer, exclusive merchandise for great rates, and driving traffic to your website. It will take some hard smart work, and convincing people that you are worth what you are about.

There will always be some doubting Thomas for every thing. So it is for e-Bay. I think they are growing by the day and their business is thriving.
Anyway, why are you bothered about it's success? You do your business and start worrying if you don't get your good delivered.

Unfortunately, ebay has grown beyond its arrogance to appease the seller, which in turn has led to new policies which are not in favor of the seller. Maybe the ebay buyer will feel secure while shopping on ebay, and only the true educated consumer will benefit from shopping and surfing the net to find great deals.
