To be in Africa is one of my wish list

I have always wanted to go to Africa. I wanted to join the Peace Corp when I was younger, of course that never panned out. So it's on my "bucket" list of things I want to do one day. I have always admired the way the people continue to muddle through all their hardships, it breaks my heart to see pictures and things of dying children and families due to hardship and everything else. When I was younger I thought how terrible it was for people living in other countries... Now that I am older and wiser, I still think it's terrible...but now I see how bad it is in some parts of my own country and I can't do much to help that either. You could look for volunteer opportunities, I found many but about 12 years ago I was very sick with Necrotizing Fasciitis (sp) so now at 51, I'm not looking for hard work...lol I'm so darn out of shape from doing nothing for so long I can barely help myself. But I keep plodding along and will find an opportunity somewhere...just keep searching and you will find a way. One of the most important lessons I have ever learned is "If there is a will, there is a way." Good luck I hope you find a way to fulfill your dream. Mari
