Does it hurt if no one remembers your birthday? geezz..

It hurts when my family members forget about my birthday, not that I would make a big fuss out of it, I would just keep the bad feeling to myself. A simple greeting will make my day special - that's all I expect from those important to me. I do feel that birthdays specially of loved ones are important and shouldn't be forgotten. But for my not-so-close friends, it doesn't bother me at all if they don't greet me on my birthday.

I do actually agree with you. I mean it does really hurt so much especially when the person who forgot is someone really important to you. :( but still at least God doesn't forget right?

Oh dang! I just forgot my friend's birthday 2 days ago! When we were around 10 years younger, he really got disappointed with all of us in the gang. He was so hurt then when he left us to take a cab he said this, "I amso disappointed with all of you. None of you even remembered my birthday!" Oops! hahaah! Sorrrrrrrrrrry!

I guess it hurts a tiny bit when I don't hear from anyone at all on my birthday, but for me, I'm old enough that I try and forget about them myself. They're just a reminder that I'm just another year older. I haven't really done anything to celebrate my own birthday for years now, except that I usually take the day off of work, as a present to myself. I take the day and just relax and do whatever I want.

It would hurt if no one remembered my birthday. I have never had that happen to me though. I usually remind everyone a few weeks in advance!

I don't know,dear,what to say.I myself forget my birthday.It is my sisters,wife,son and daughters who remind me of it.And the same thing has been happening every year.They ask me for presents,parties and all those things,and I oblige them if my purse allows me to.Otherwise,I try to satisfy them with free of cost kisses and love,but fail.They want more than just kisses and love,but what can I do if my purse is prohibiting me? So I have to fulfill their wishes when my purse turns heavy.

Except my parents, sister and a few friends who have kept reminders for my birthday, everyone else forgets my birthday despite it being an easy one to remember. Thanks to Facebook reminder, many other friends remember to wish me on my birthday now. But I'm not offended if they forget.In fact, I've taken my birthday off my FB page. As long as the people who really mean a lot to me don't forget my birthday, I am happy.

I'd feel a little unattached. But with all the social networking sites, i guess they remind them of anyone else's birthday in advance. Take for instance, Facebook, My friends are the ones that remind me of my birthday and the 'Where will be the party' stuff.

My family have never forgotten my birthday, partly because I am a twin and therefore my brother can never forget my birthday as I cant forget his! If my close friends forget then I do feel hurt, they may have other things on there minds but most people send greetings on facebook or send me a card. I would be hurt if no one greeted me on my birthday. Birthdays are about celebrating, doesnt have to be a huge celebration but being with family and friends is a great celebration to me. happy mylotting xx

well lol that is the only thing i like about facebook, that they put you birthday up for everyone to see, and last year when my birthday came around i had so many people old frinds and such wish me happy birthday from facebook i thogut that was way coool.. and made me feel really good. i even had ex's say happy birthday very nice.. but i still hate facebook lol

I am a little disappointed when people don't remember my birthday. I don't need gifts, but I do like for people to at least say Happy Birthday because it just means they took a little time out of their day to make me feel special. I try to at least tell my friends and family happy birthday on their day just so they know I'm thinking of them, even if I can't afford a gift. I think it's the thought that counts.

Well, until I was a kid's birthday party was fun, but today, I live pretty much as an ordinary day. At the moment, however, live at home, luckily no one forgets my birthday, but in the future, I will only have to remember that I have the date, one year longer than before!

Hello friend, Yes I surely become very angry to all of my friends. But my parents who can't forget my birth day any time that I belive. Actual I have no experiance like that reason every time my parents wish me first. But many time I forgot about this and my parents gave me more surprizes. Nice to meet you. Will see you soon.

I will be definitely get hurt when no one remember my birthday. My husband once forgot my birthday, and never greeted me until I got so upset. I told him when the day was almost over that that day was my birthday. And he just simply greeted me. He told me that birthdays are not important, but we argued about it that day because for me, birthdays are important!

Hi Tess, Honestly? It is hurt having none remembering your birthday. But, wasting your time regretting none remembering your birthday is really a waste of time. What should one do it? I am totally agree with you. In every birthday, we should be grateful of what we got rather than regretting of what we don't have. Having none remembering your birthday is painful but you've gone through it. I have experienced it before. So, I always tell myself happy birthday than expecting others greet me happy birthday. At least, I got one "happy birthday" from my own self! :P

When I was a child if I am not mistaken when I was 8 or 9 years old I did feel sad, so sad when no one wish me at all..I felt really hurt that even my family said nothing till I cry but that happened many years ago. Now, in some years I will get wishes from others while some other years I will get nothing but it's okay with me. The best thing to do is to feel grateful to God that I am still here. If there are wishes and greetings from others its like a bonus or extra gift for me.(^^)

It really hurts if no one even a single person knows our birthday. You might feel that ni one ever cares or love you. So far there's no instances that no one ever greeted me on my birthday, Thanked God.

It never happen to me for everyone to forget my birthday. It's true that some of the people that should have remembered or that I expected to remember forgot but it wasn't that bad because a lot of other people remembered it.

Yes! It really hurts if no one remember your birthday. And I guess it hurts also for every one who had been experienced the same scenario. Because our birthday only comes once a year and it is a very special day for us and we really wanted to be greeted and remembered on that day.

yes super.It seems i don't have love ones, friends, if they did. in fact no one did that yet to me.They always remember my birthday,.and i am happy for that.Surprised birthday? yes i had already but my boyfriend did that to me.
