Working is boring!

Have you ever been in this situation? I feel bored with my work and this company. Everyday I go here, working a little and waiting for the end of working time. I always feel tired. I don't like to think about developing work. I only do what I was asked. Working is boring! How I can escape this mood? What I can do in this situation?

Of course work is boring! Mine is as well! I am currently at work, and business is really slow today (which is surprising because it is Friday), and basically I just look forward to A) when I get out of work (usually 3:30), and B) THE WEEKENDS!!! I live for the weekends. I think the key to solving our problems is to find jobs that are more stimulating, more challenging, and that we enjoy and can actually look forward to. Because apparently right now we are not in that position. But that's the hardest part - finding something that pays the bills AND that you enjoy!

maezee, you took the words out of my mouth on this one. Most people are looking or waiting for a better job or better paying job so they can drop kick their boring work place. Like you said, you have to be in a safe position to move forward to having an exciting, well paying job.

You just need some relaxation. Take some leaves from office and go out some where you like. Feel free and relax from any kind of worry or work. Just enjot your leaves. Than after you will find your self free and will do your office work happliy. So do this ok.

That's good idea, my friend. But not easy to have a relax day. I'll ask my boss that I feel bored working and like to leave the company?

Every job I have ever had has gotten boring. It starts out interesting and even challenging but then after a while, it gets repetitive and I get bored. Once you learn everything there is about your job and there are no new challenges, it just becomes drudgery. The same old thing day in and day out. I guess there are people out there that have jobs that they love and they enjoy going to every day, but not me. I have yet to find the perfect job that I truly enjoy. Maybe someday.

Surround yourself with fun things, they can be so motivating. I'm not saying you should do other stuff indetad of working, but bring in nice pictures and stuff to lighten up the environment. Or always say to yourself, that this boring moment I spend here is earning me money for fun stuff. I don't get bored by the work I have now, because it requests really big concentration and we're working constantly in our shifts. My last job could be a bit boring. Then I usually took a book with me, if there were free time (I was working in a shop, which wasn't the most popular one :D).

You're lucky because you have found a good job. We spend almost our time for working. So, a good job is very important for our life.

Among many valuable lessons in my life, one of the most important ones was to learn how to appreciate my job and to respect the one who gives me my salary. Now, there are people who can"t afford the dream job due to educational holes, etc. That"s not the reason to quit your job, to go to job with a sad face. Try to understand what is it that you do on your job, try to enjoy it or take a turn and find another job. It"s that simple.

Most of my jobs have been interesting and challenging, but I have had a few jobs that I found boring. That usually happens if I have to do the same kind of work all the time, I like changes a lot, and I tend to get bored if I have to do the same things day after day. When that happens I try to find some small things to enjoy about the job. If my job involves driving I listen to my favourite music in the car and that often gives me new energy. I have had one job where the work as such was quite boring, but I had some really great co-workers. I enjoyed working with them and their were the main reason why I enjoyed that job. I suggest that you also try to find some small things that you enjoy about your work.

I feel my work is boring too, not boring in a sense that I got nothing to do than the usual, in fact there are moments that I am loaded with work that sometimes my I do beyond my job description. I said it's boring cause I am not interested anymore, I feel like if I stay in this company I will not grow except I am always updated in internet world. I don't feel my worth here and I am underpaid, actually we are all. I don't know but I'm still looking for a job that will made my complete as an employee and will stay even if I have kids.

I feel the same way, I only do what I'm asked to do. Or do my tasks then that's it. It is kind a boring sometimes but you can try to do other things. Mylotting is one of the few things to do to get rid of boredom. Some topics are quite interesting and some are very funny. I hope you'll find ways to cure your boredom.

I feel the same way when I'm at my partime job. Always watching the time. Think about and plan a way you can do what you want to do for a living. Go back to school/college if you're not already a student. I'm always thinking of ways I can work for myself! It's hard staying at a job you don't like! Act fast!

Working is never boring if you like what you are doing. You must not engage in a type of work where you only do it for the money. In the long you may really get exhausted instead of filling a certain sense of fulfillment throughout your job. If you have the luxury of time to find a work that fits your attitude and interests, then go for it. Always settle for the thing the makes you happy. But if you have no choice and you cannot get into another job, I think the best thing you can do is to just embrace your present job. Live optimistically, there are millions of people out there who are still searching to find work, while you already have yours. You must realize how lucky you are. Bottom line is, learn to love your work and it will love you back. Godbless you.
