My sister and I did the invitations for the baby shower and we also did a few of these simple party favors. They kinda look like a diaper....but you can fold them in just a minute and use them for any occasion. Do you include party favors when you have a shower?

hi jillhill, I did party favors at both of my daughters baby showers...I just think that it shows a special effort on the part of the host... Go for it, and congrats to the new mother to be......

Very clever idea. These are so cute. I haven't had a shower in years. We always end up at our daughter's house for baby showers because it's huge. I went to a baby shower recently and there were baby bottles filled with white, candy balls which almost look like bath oil beads. The nipple and bow were blue since the mom is having a boy. It was so cute. I have made several baby booties made with plastic canvas. They are cute so I have attached a pair to different baby gifts and many comments were made about how it added cutsie class to the gift. I am guilty of not even thinking about favors when we had a shower for our last grandbaby. Was busy ordering the food, etc. and it just slipped my mind.

The baby bottle is 3 1/2" tall and filled with these candy balls. The nipple is blue and so is the ribbon. Don't know who sells the bottles. Have fun with it.

I haven't ever really done a shower but I am fixing to for my daughter. I have thought about doing little party favors. I think a theme goes a long way with a party and those little favors can really add to that.

lollipop favors - http://www.etsy.com/listing/61089371/baby-wash-cloth-lollipops
Yes. For one sister in law I did soaps cameo style. The mold had a mother and child and I did that white with pink, blue, yellow and green backgrounds. I also make wash cloth lollipops that I sell on Etsy. I have orders all the time for showers. People put them on gifts too. We also filled baby bottles with jelly beans for her next shower. For mine they did chocolates in little origami buggies.

When we do showers, we usually do little cookies or cakes as the favours. They're small but fun.

I haven't been to a shower that included them, but if I were to plan one myself, I'd include them. They are a fantastic way to be creative, and give everyone a little something to take home. when hubby and I got married, we wrapped our favourite kind of chocolate bar in nice blue paper, and added our labels, along with flags from both of our countries.

I think just about everyone does party favors these days. The diaper ones are cute and I bet with the Hersey bar tucked in was a very big hit! We have always done party favors when giving a shower. It's just a little extra work and lots of fun. It is also a way of saying thank you to your guests for coming and bringing a gift.

We used to do it for Christening parties, a long time ago. Then there was no custom of baby showers. Now they do it and everyone has to take something for the baby (not too expensive). The mother-to-be has some mementos to remind everyone of the occation.

Those are cute and the fact that you are able to make them in just a minute is a great thing. With that said, I typically don't make any kind of party favors to give to my guests when I am having a party for adults. However, when we are having a party of some sort for the children, I think that sending all of their guests home with a little something is a great idea of something to do and we will always hand out favors for a child's party.

For any events except birthday party there will be a party favors for every who came to the party. It can be anything and it has in varies style. Usually we ordered them from someone else if we need in large scale but for small party perhaps we could make it by our own like what you did just now. It looks really nice~(^^)

Very cute--and versatile too, as you say, so you can use the same type of favors for the adults who are invited to the baby's 1-year-old birthday party! I think everyone gives out some sort of favors for baby showers these days--I gave out little picture frames for both of the baby showers I hosted--I tied little blue bows on them to show the babies were going to be boys, and the bows were removable so the people who received them could use them for any type of picture.

Jill, that is absolutely adorable - how creative you are! I have never attended a baby shower and I certainly have never thrown one for my friends. I have a question - does the organizer pay for the baby shower? As in the decoration, food, and misc.

These are cool. I would think these would be a Great idea to make for anyone for any occassion, and maybe an idea I could consider making up sometime and selling at some of the events I do. I hope these have been a Big hit for you.
