Yes, I am and I try to be awake as much as possible because I don't want to pass out while still in the office. I am afraid to take a nap for I might sleep until my shift ends. I only slept 2 hours and about 30 minutes last night because me and my bf talked until 3am. Have to wake up early at 5:30am because the whole family is celebrating my mom's birthday at the beach and have to go early so we still can enjoy swimming before the super hot sun shines like crazy. I would like to apologize for responding a bit wierd today, I am here because mylot is the only place that keeps me busy and keeps me awake. Have you ever been so sleepy and you feel like passing out any minute but still trying to be wide awake? Does your head also ache like what I am feeling now for trying to force yourself not to close your eyes and sleep? What do you usually do if you feel really really sleepy while still at work? Does mylot somewhat help you? Boy I hope my shift ends NOW! 3 hours and 20 more minutes..can't wait till I get to bed!

I am sure you are having a nice sleep right now~(^^) I have the same experience before like really want to go t sleep but I can't. The only solution is try to get some nap even if the nap can go beyond hours..Yeah, if I want to go to sleep I will get to sleep even for a while. Like my sister she can take a nap for a few minutes and stay fresh after that. A few minutes might not work for me. So I will have at least an hour to recover and stay fresh tomorrow. Even if I do something else, the solution still- you need to go to sleep~(^^)

I am wide awake now with cold coffee float on my side I am actually at work now. I had 8 hours of sleep last night but for me, it felt like just 4 hours of sleep. I think sleeping for 8 hours wasn't enough because I still feel really sleepy. I do hope this coffee will help

I wish we are allowed to listen to the music here, but we aren't. Coffee also doesn't work for me, it only gives me a headache. But, had to try anyway than feeling your eyes slowing falling down and feeling your self dosing off. Yes, I really need that extra sleep, but, it's just so hard to do here because of the very hot temperature at night and in the morning. The heat usually wakes me up..sigh*

8 hours seems to be like 4? You really need extra hours sleep then.(^^) People always go for coffee in order for them to stay awake but coffee won't work for me if I am feel sleepy. What about listen to some music then?Hmm...

I could also relate to this most of the time. Every after meal, sometimes I badly feel the urge of sleeping specially when I'm very full. This usually happens in the office during office hours. After a snack, I'd get sleepy. That's why I'd always have an energy drink with me wherever I go. I'd also make sure to indulge myself with things that could keep me away from sleeping. Sometimes, I'd laugh at myself since I already tried desperate moves just to keep myself from passing out during working hours. And what's funny is, when I'm busy eating helps me a lot to avoid stress and it energizes me. But when I'm already very full, that's when I lose my energy and I'd get very sleepy. That's why I'd prefer to do frequent snacks than meals that would make me very full. When I was still in the call center, I'd drink lots and lots of water so I'll go back and forth to the comfort room. And it kept me from sleeping. LOL. But the thought of it was really hilarious. ^^

I feel that kind of sleepiness too especially when really very full. Laughing to yourself is scary? Your officemates might think of you being crazy...Energy drinks doesn't suit me because I palpitate right after drinking it, just like drinking coffee. And I also don't like the after effects, it seems my eyes wouldn't want to close. I am afraid I won't be able to sleep after my shift ends.

Yeah, that's the case for me. I don't usually drink it everyday though. Only when situations would require me to. And yes it's true, I get really hyped up after having an energy drink making me not want to sleep. After the energy drink takes effect, my sleepiness takes over. And most of the time, I'd get a very good sleep after. ^^

We really have no option but to stay awake for our work requires it.

I feel guilty while reading your discussion. I totally passed out for 2 minutes while having a class. I worked mid-shift and has to talk for 8 hours with students online. Surprisingly, I couldn't remember what I am talking for a minute and gladly I didn't turn on my video. I had two consecutive sleepless nights that was I'm not in good tune.

I really hate passing out, always do while talking to my bf at a late hour. But, can't do anything about it if you want a long distance relationship to last, you really have to communicate no matter what time it is. Just laugh after passing out, it will surely wake you up like I do..

I feel you ate gaiza. :) We do have lots of activities but we have so limited time. Lately I've tried passing out while taking a major exam. I think my teacher saw me. haha! Anyway, who could resist sleeping if you're that sleepy. In order to ease those super heavy eyelids, I try rubbing my hands and put them in my eyes. My teacher in high school taught me that, it's the warmness from the friction of rubbing the hands that help. Sometimes it's not effective so I try pinching my arms or slapping my face. :D Or just keeping myself busy to forget the sleepiness. hihi

Let me try the rubbing then..hehe. Tried pinching myself but it never helps, it only keeps me awake for a few minutes. That's why I am here in mylot to keep myself busy so that I won't feel sleepy. Bad thing is, I am busy with mylot but I don't really think my responses have sense..
