What counts as Copyrighted?

Are we allowed to post photos that we pull from Google Images as long as they are not watermarked? I struggle to understand what copyright means in this situation. Does it mean to not post photos that you would normally have to pay for from websites? Or is the general rule of thumb that if you didn't take it with your camera then you can't post it? I have seen a lot of photos on this site that must have been pulled from Google Images. Is this allowed?

If those pictures doesn't have copyright (c) thent it's ok! But be sure to check fine print from link where pictures are found!

That is not necessarily true. What if the photo you snag was lifted by someone else who didn't care if they were stealing a photo or not? Always have s source for the photographs you use because you can be sued if you violate a copyright law. I tend to look at this the same as someone taking your article and posting it on another site as theirs. Same principle. It's wrong and you can be held accountable for it. It goes back to the old saying, "Better safe than sorry!"
