Can I Ever Quit?

I started smoking at a very young age, twelve years old. I managed to keep from getting caught until I was fourteen and then my mom couldn't stop me, I was addicted. Now I am twenty five and I can tell they are seriously affecting my lungs, teeth, and overall stamina. I have been seeing my general practitioner about this issue for a year and we have tried a variety of medicines, nicotine replacement products, and even support groups to absolutely no avail. I cannot even get past the seventy two hour point. Please don't just tell me I am weak, that is not true. I have kicked habits before like methamphetamines, prescription pain killers, and alcohol. I managed to quit all those things without rehabilitation or groups but these damnable cigarettes are beyond me somehow. I want to quit, I have a thousand reasons I want to stop but I just cannot seem to. If you have managed to quit please share with me how you did it, maybe I haven't tried your method yet.

The method that got me to stop smoking was being pregnant. I stopped for both my babies health and my health. First of all you have to sincerely want to quit smoking. I would keep on trying. Maybe you could pull some prayer warriors together and get them all praying for you. It can happen and it all starts with you. I wish you the best!
