Is it a Non-Working Holiday, tomorrow for Philippines Labor Day?

"Madlang People", has it been announced yet, if it's a non-working holiday, tomorrow? And, no classes, too? I haven't been checking the news lately and I can't ask anybody around here. My kid is going to summer class, and she didn't show up at school today, so, we didn't get any advice from her school. I texted, but no response, yet. Is it a holiday tomorrow, or was it moved today?

May 1 is regular holiday so it should remain holiday unless otherwise move by the president. in this case, the president did not move the holiday today as he already slashed out the long weekend holiday (economic policy) of the previous administration. its holiday tomorrow and if you will report to work, you'll gonna have a double pay.

Good news for you, too, gaiza. If we can't enjoy the holiday work, at least you get compensated for it.

May 1st is workers'day across most countries of the world. It is fixed to celebrate the contribution of the workers or workforce to the society. Workers day is also known as Labor day in some countries. In Nigeria, where I live,May 1st has been declared a public holiday by the Nigerian government. Therefore, workers specifically those working in the government ministry, parastatals are to stay at home with their family to enjoy the holiday.

Well, at least, you don't have to file for a leave of absence to do what you need to do. It's so timely. Good luck, and I hope you find a good one.

It's been announced that may 1 is a holiday. I don't think the government would move it today since that already courting the ire of the leftest.

Tomorrow (May 1) is holiday in observance of Labor Day and not today. There is no advice that it was moved today.

I think P-Noy is not very fond of moving holidays around. Unlike his predecessor.

Yeah, and he's omits some holiday and special non-working holiday, he doesn't like holidays, it's unfortunate for a regular employee like me who's special non-working holiday is even paid.

I think there is no announcement regarding this cause it is really a holiday ever since. It always marked in the calendar as holiday and never moved.

I too don't know any news about labor day being announced as non-working holiday. But, I know today is not a holiday because our HR and other departments are here today. Usually, they don't have office during holidays. So, I am guessing they haven't moved the holiday today but it remains May 1 still.

Labor day is always a holiday so you don't have to worry. Labor day, the day for workers, the day for laborers indeed. Do you really ever think that they still needed to work for this very special day just intended for them? Haha. :) may 1 is always a holiday Po! Haha. Unless, President NoyNoy will change it, he will be crazy at the moment if this happens and maybe he will be put into the dumpsite by the laborers. Haha. Just joking. :) happy labor day!
