i use to hardly ever eat salads and when i did i would put way to much dressing on then and they were way fatening like that, then i started going and getting mcdonalds grilled chicken ceaser salads and i fell in love with them, but there quite expensive.. so one day we were grocry shopping and i was looking at salad kits
and hubby said here get this one.. it was a ceaser salad kit and was fairly cheap, it had the bibbed lettace, the crouton, the cheese and they ceaser dressing. and so we got it and i tryed it and guess what yep im hooked it it feeds 4 four people but i usualy end up eating it all myself over the week.. and i get a new one each grocery weekend.. yummie.. and it is very healthy for me .. becasue i have to make the dressing last i dont use as much.. do you love salads.. ?

I love salads too. I make the dressings at home, so it's not necessarily high in fat or sugar. I don't like lettuce so much, but with some dressing I'm okay with it... Finally there are some fresh veggies available, all winter it was just cabbage, carrots and sometimes cucumbers, because other veggies were either very expensive, or tasteless.

I usually use plain yogurt for dressing, that creamy greek type, or sometimes sour cream, that's tastier but not too low on fat. I add a little olive oil or other oil, a few drops of lemon juice and salt and stir until it's homogenous... I like to add spices to this, or herbs like parsley, some mustard, sometimes mashed garlic, or whatever I find.
On the plain lettuce I definitely like to put some dressing. I like those curly lettuces more, but they are hard to find.

During the cooler months of the year, I don't really eat that many salads because of the fact that I just don't feel like eating them when it is cold outside. However, during the warmer months of the year, I would rather eat salads every day as opposed to cooking because a salad tends to be a lot lighter than many of the things that I would cook.
Well, when I made a good salad, I love to have bibb lettuce and spinach, tomato, carrots and some green peas. In addition to that, I like some avocado, goat cheese and perhaps some bacon bits thrown in it. I will typically dress it with a raspberry vinegarette.

OMG! I love that Mickey D's grilled chicken salad! But you are right....it is a little pricey. I make my own at home. I just buy some fresh bunches of Romaine lettuce and a package of frozen breaded chicken strips or nuggets. Bake the chicken in the oven and put it on the chopped lettuce (warm or cooled off) then add your favorite store bought croutons and pour ranch or creamy ceaser dressing on it and, v`oila...faux McDonald's Grilled Chicken salad!

I'm in the exact same boat! People call me bunny now because they notice I only eat healthy foods! Silly of them to talk down on someone whose doing better for them selves, I suppose. If you like eating it, have no shame! (:

I eat a vegan diet and adore eating salad. My favorite is made from cucumber, lettuce, cress and spring onions. I add to it a vinegary salad dressing. I like carrots, cabbage and beetroot with my salad sometimes. Sometimes I eat a salad sandwich and it tastes delicious. I have a layer of salad dressing that is vegan in it. Vegetables are good quality to excellent in my home country. On my travels I find the quality can vary. On my trip to South America I took my salad dressing which once open must be kept in a fridge. I also took my plate and knife to make salad to eat during my trip. In Chile my friend took me over to a fantastic supermarket that had very good quality vegetables. Salad is indeed a healthy option and nuts can be added too.

I love vegetable salad with Italian dressing, I don't like too much mayo. I used to make my own salad veggies, corn, cucumber, tomato, pineapple chunks and tuna with lemon. I missed making that. I like macaroni and potato too but not too much mayo. We don't have salads in mcdonalds here in my country only KFC and Wendy's.

I love eating salads too. I used to ignore them before when I was a kid and when we're at the restaurant, I just ignore them at the menu. I just learned to love eating them now when I am already an adult.

Yes I do and just like you I'm kinda hooked on it. I love vegetables today more than every so I do really take time to prepare veggie salads every day for me and my family. It makes my whole family healthy and happy as well. Well some people find veggie salad boring because there is nothing good to them but meat, meat and meat with all those fatty tissues it. Well not me. I go for healthy food and healthy food mean fresh and organic vegetables and fruits.

I love salads as well. And so I could get the freshest, I like to prepare them myself. And the dressings, too. My favorite is an Asian type of vinaigrette where instead of olive oil, I use sesame oil. And, I also add some mandarin juice to sweeten it up some more.

I love salads and all kinds at that. I prefer the potato salad and the vegetable salad but I also tend to use lots of dressing. I am quite fond of mayo and I know it is high in calories. In my country Mcdonalds does not serve salads but more on the fried chicken and burgers. I get my salad from KFC and I always ask for additional mayo. It does not worry me a bit about eating so many high-calorie dressings because I am quite lean. When I prepare salads at home, I end up eating most of it since the kids are not really so fond of salads except the fruit salad.
