My son will be 5 in June and he will go to kindergarten in August. The past 5 years have flown by. I am not ready for him to go school all day I will miss him :( I think on the first day I will cry when he gets on the bus.. Just something I have time to think about while my 3 and almost 5 year old are at preschool.. My 3 month old takes his nap while they are at school perfect timing for me to clean our house and cook meals for a few nights then relax. I am sure I will follow the bus to school on day one.. But I hope he likes kindergarten.

Dear Aww I think that your son will love kindergarden.Your son is growing up !This can be a hard time for the parents but your son will grow up to be very sussucful in life and he will do so much in his life.Soon you will be attending his high school graduation i know that it is hard to believe but life go's really fast!I started school/daycare at the age of 2 I know it was early but I learned to read at the age of 3.On the weekends if he doesn't know how to read yet I think that you should teach him a little bit because it will help him a whole lot.anyway your son will have so much fun!

When my child went to kindergarten, I felt like my heart pekalo.Nie I could not focus on anything, do anything, and thought they were just around the son, survived a nightmare!

I have seen so many kindergarten kids crying on the first few days of school. You have to motivate him, prepare him for it, tell him all the good things about it, etc. Get him excited for school so that he will have the feeling that he is going to a good and nice place. Do not make him read your apprehensions.

I guess he's very lucky - he had a childhood! In many countries, he would have completed three or four years of kindergarten by age five! He would have to know the whole alphabet - reading and writing, count to one thousand, and name almost every country of the world just to enter 1st grade! It's a shame what kids have to endure these days.

Yeah my little girl is starting Kindergarten This August as well she just turned 5 last month. I work retail hours so for most of her day I will be at work but I will miss coming home to her. For the last 4 years my Grandma and I have been home schooling her so this is her first year in school. She is really excited to go and I am the one that is not ready. I hope your son as a wonderful first day and I hope you don't cry. As soon as we know it this will become our regular routines.

Ah, I am sure he will love it. Just remember to stay strong in front of him so that he knows that it is okay. If he sees you sad or crying, he will think that you are hurting to much or something is wrong with this place. The happier the mood, the better and a nice treat or reward to bring at the end of the 1st week is always encouraging for little ones.

Try to think of the positive in this....he will make some new friends and learn new things at the same time! Hopefully, he will burn off a lot of energy so then you won't have to use so much of yours (sounds like you have 3 others to split the energy with..) to keep him entertained! =-) Maybe you can get a little "my time" during the day when the 3 month old takes a nap while the older sibs are at school. I hear ya though, the first day will be tough...but it'll pass. I'll bet he will be so excited to go to school once he sees how many new things that he can do and learn! God bless!
