i did drank coffee yesterday morning with hubby - that was fun..drinking with him in the morning... but then i was a nervous wreck the whole day. I could not understand why this happens to me everytime i drink coffee.. maybe i could just not take the caffeine?? caffeine i guess is bad for my system.
my heart thuds like i am so scared for no reason, i jumped, i was a wreck. So i didn't have coffee this morning, just a glass of tap water with a bit of kalamansi together with breakfast.

Caffeine really has an after effect of palpitations. That's what I usually feel after drinking coffee as well, that is why i try to minimize it as it is also not advised by my doctor. If you continue drinking early morning coffee with your husband, you should try decaffeinated ones or tea maybe instead of coffee.

I have the same habit before specially when I took brew coffee. But I love coffee that's why I have find something that I might be suit to drink. I tried some herbal coffee with no caffeine but it taste coffee too. Since then I never tried any kind of coffee I just stick with it. Try to find some coffee that with no caffeine if you still want to drink coffee.

I think you're experiencing palpitation my dear- better avoid coffee then.
Next time drink milk instead and once again- I suggest, play some music

Im not sure this is just a hunch but maybe you have hypertension ... caffeine can rise your blood pressure dramatically if you have one.
Or maybe your just sensitive to caffeine hehehe...
Generally caffeine is not bad I read it has a more calming a relaxing effect if not abused (but i don't drink coffee or caffeinated drinks).
Have a great day !

Hi jazel, don't get me wrong but I think you should see your doctor. I feel the same when I drink coffee I even palpitate so hard. Just last year, I was diagnosed with severe mitral stenosis (damaged mitral valve). I am 31 now and yet I only found out my heart condition last year which is too late already. This is not to make you afraid but for you to know the real condition of your heart since what you experience when you drink coffee is not normal. Happy mylotting!

I would be alarmed if i am a coffee drinker..but then i believe this is just due to the fact that i am not used to coffee at all but thank you for the info, that keeps me vigilant

I don't drink coffee anymore since I was 15. I have a polyps on my gallbladder and my doctor ordered me not to drink coffee and the likes as my stomach reacts badly due to caffeine. Since then, I gradually let go of my coffee every morning and have a tea instead.

Omg, that sounds weird but I think you do the right thing by not drinking coffee again. I know I never understand why some people don't like coffee as I LOVE coffee but if it brings bad effect to those people, then I would love to ask them to stop. And you have made a right decision for yourself. Save your life.

Hi olliekobra1 ,
For me, both of the tea and the coffee are not good for our health.
Coffee does have the caffeine and some of the teas do.
Most of the teas I found in my local market contain artificial colors.
I am very sensitive to artificial color because it can fail our kidneys and other bad impact to our health.
Let's start having a habit to drink 100% fresh juices and blank water in our daily life.

There are a lot of people who do not do well with caffeine. If it makes you feel this badly I would say it is a good idea to skip it entirely. Some people do better drinking tea, though.

I haven't had a cup of coffee in about 3 years. It started bothering me in my throat and I decided I could live without coffee. I drink hot tea in the morning and any time I need warming up. I do miss coffee when we have cake or pie, and especially out in a restaurant since most don't serve hot tea. I drink lots of water!

Hello Jazel_Juan that's because it does make you nervous if you keep drinking coffee all the time. I remember it happened to me while back after getting a criticism from a caller who couldn't any information about our company which i previously work with.but i only drink coffee once in a morning and night. so, that's twice. well, have a nice day, good luck with kalamansi

If you didn't drink coffee in a long time and nor drink it back, it maybe like that. You will feel nausea and cant do anything more. At that time, you should eat some food. And you may lost sleep because of coffee also.
Better you choose juice or fruit instead of drink coffee.
Have a nice day in there!

I avoid coffee a lot. Sometimes, when I have to work and my eyes are closing because i'm sleepy, a little coffe might do the trick. Otherwise it usually makes me kinda hyperactive. Maybe it's the fact that I drink VERY rarely coffee, and my body isn't used to the caffeine and reacts easily. I haven't really had any coffee in 2012 yet.:P

I don't think that having coffee is not bad. I think it is good for us but make sure that you don't have them a lot.
