People Drive Me Nuts

Today was no exception. My mom asked me what veggies I wanted to make for dinner and said that my dad doesn't usually eat any with his hamburger so I just took alittle out of the frozen bag for myself, as she and my brother had their own canned veggies opened. So I go and I put the veggies for me on the stove, boil them and when it's time for us all to eat, I take what I wanted out of the pot, left a few pieces of carrots mostly. Then, she goes to me "Is that all you're leaving for your father?" I'm like, well you just told me he doesn't eat any veggies with his hamburger! So I didn't put any in the pot for him! DUH! This is the kind of thing that drives me bananas about my mother at times. What drives you nuts most about some people and who is this person to you?

Oh I don't blame you for all that fuming and stuff. I don't want anyone touching my stuff when I have it around. It's not right that your dad allowed your little sister to just pinch your big TV and everything, plus the room itself when she doesn't even sleep in her bed there. Even if it's just for the weekend it is annoying I'm sure. I bet your little sister will always think she can stomp her feet now to get her way. It shouldn't have started that way in the first place. But my brother is 44 and it seems all he has to do is yell and he gets his way, too.

thats all she ever has to do is stop her feet. i love her so much but its pathectic the way sh goes on when she wants her own way. i know thats children but she dose not understand what no means. and dads had three strokes now so i think he cant be bothered and just gives in to stop her crying. i was never spoilt like that. she dosnt even share her toys or sweets with our cousins :-/

Yep. I have one in particular who works for me every other day. I go crazy every time she's here because I always need to tell her what to do next etc. It's so stupid.

I hate stupid people, LOL. Truly I do though when they're supposed to have more brains after all this time.

People being human are always doing something weird. My daughter will fix an antre for dinner and no vegetables. Or she will fix two things and no veggie. I don't know why. She knows her son needs to be eating more of them. I think it is just hard for her to change after not doing it for so long.

I could really write a book about the things that drive me nuts about people in general and not just any individual people. One thing that never ceases to really agitate me, is the fact that people ask me why I'm doing something, as if they are entitled to an explanation. Sometimes the answer really is just because, because that is really what it is. Of course, I think that a lot of people who offer suggestions for things to do and then forget what they suggest, so they question you. And then they turn around and ask painfully obvious questions, that could really be answered by really just opening their eyes, keeping their mouth. It never ceases to annoy me when people ask what I'm doing, when they can see painfully with their own two eyes what I'm doing. It's not like I'm doing some complex. I think that the world is out to troll me personally sometimes.

I could too, but it seems that it's mostly family that really does it lately. You don't need to be explaining everything you are doing. Maybe once in a while cause they are interested but not always. LOL, it's funny how people will suggest things and then forget I have seen that too, not often thank goodness. I hope the world isn't out to troll you, that would be terrible.

You have a complicated living arrangement. If I was living with you I think I would be grateful for anything you left in the pot for me.

Yea it is complicated, or perhaps quite dysfunctional as it always has been. My brother has never left the "nest" but I have had an apt of sorts. Not sure what you mean by "whatever I left in the pot", I'm not the one who leaves nothing for others.

There is not much that drives me nuts about anyone anymore. Quess it's because I am in charge now? I can do and cook what I want and I don't care anymore if others like it, will eat it or not. I am also not that idiot anymore willing to cook 5 different meals because they all like to eat something different. I wonder what kind of meal a hamburger is.. I only know it on bread (burger). We mostly eat vegetables, eggs, bulgur, rice etc. Different kind of soups and porridges (all kinds of) as well. Seldom meat anymore. BTW my mother drove me most nuts with this: each time I wanted to do her a favour help her out with something, next time she said it was my task/duty to do it. So helping out ment: do it forever and ever. She only did that to me. Not to my siblings, plus she was always complaining about me. It was never good enough but still she always forced me to do it. It still beats me after all these years why.

I believe you are in charge now. I would love to be able to cook what I want when I want to. I just can't be in that situation right now. I just think my mom's is losing her mind, slowly sometimes, seriously. Like Alzheimer's sadly. Oh hamburger is on a bun, some people don't eat it on the bun but I still do. It tastes rather bland to me otherwise even if seasoned. It's probably just the way it is cooked, on the George Forman grill here. I don't want to eat much meat anymore especially beef, but once in a great while I will eat it with the family. I like chicken and fish better. I had that too about my mother, if I helped her one time with something she wants me to do it every time, etc. to a point. Mine is never happy with anything me or my dad does and always complains about us. Mostly thinks my brother is a genius when he's not, she's just blind to everything he does cause she gave birth to him and he's a male. Seriously, that is what it is like in my family.
