How many of you do mylot during office hours?

Hi wonder Yes.. I am using mylot from my office too. About timing its not really sure. Whenever I get free time from my work I used to spend it on mylot. Sometimes it is more and sometime it is less. About boss, I am having my own work so no one can stop me from that..

To surf myLot in office and get caught by boss: Not so smart ones - warning letter given and accepted with regrets. Smart ones - warning letter given but still keep surfing when the boss is out of office AFTER you have finished all your work. Very smart ones - recruit your boss as your referral and get him addicted to myLot. So both of you can surf together and join in each other's discussions. The first discussion you invite your boss to join in the topic should be 'the best boss in the world'.

I even became a member here during my duty hours . I don't have a laptop 3 years ago that is why and my work is really not that stressful so I do mylot in the office ALL the time! I have never been caught lotting on my previous job, nor with the current job I have. My boss may see me typing something, but he doesn't have a clue I am on mylot, I think he doesn't well, I don't care if he does, I'm not doing something bad for the company and I know I am doing my job well. I work 8 hours plus a 1 hour break so 9 hours all in all being here online, not really that active within those hours since I also got a job to do. I have invited my colleagues here, there were active first week, but got bored eventually.

I'm one of them doing mylot activities during office hours, I used to do mylotting in my office I start mylotting when I'm about to start working, I can say I always access mylot from morning until evening. I don't have to worry that I will be caught, I just love doing mylotting in my office it makes me relax and even happy when reading some discussions. Also love doing mylot activities at home and when wifi access is available,as if anywhere if internet service is available.No exemptions when mylot is concerned.

Guilty! I'm just not sure how much time I spend here. Sometimes when there is little work, I spend a lot of time here. Plus, there's lunch break. There are times when the boss is not here and there's no work that I spend the entire day here.

As much as I love mylot I do not do it while I am at work. I would get fired if I did. My boss pays me to do a job, not to fulfill my own addictions or enjoyment by getting involved in discussions on mylot. I do mylot on my OWN time, not the company's time. To do otherwise would be stealing (time) from my employer and his company.

I do mylot even at the office. if i am in the middle of something and no idea is coming to me, i would log in mylot and answer a couple of discussions then i would go back to my work and everything is quite okay again. :D he he

As English is not my mother language, I have to take time to making post in mylot. When in office time, I have to focus my attention on my job, so I can not make any posts in mylot. Furthermore the speed of network in my work place is very slow, not good enough to submit post in such a condition.

There is no way I can do mylotting during office hours. Not even during breaks/lunchtime. So...I plead "not guilty"

I am guilty for doing that but after seeing multiple people getting fired for being caught using facebook. I decided to not do it anymore. Its better to be safe than sorry. before I was really active during office hours but not anymore., I dotn want to get fired, I hate my job but I love money and I dont want to be unemployed. so no matter how I hate my job. I have no other choice but to endure the boredome.

hehhe, i don't have PC at home so that i connect to mylot in the office. I am quite free and have no supervisor now so that it is fine. If i meet many interesting topics, i may spend 2-3 hours and my lunch time also. But if there are not many interesting topics, i may spend 1 hour or lesser.

Hello thewonderboy, Yes i do mylot in the office hours but these days due to work pressure i am not able to do it more in the office.But more likely i love to do it from home as i am bit relaxed at home unlike office where i have to look after the office work also.

Hi, For us, our office has given permission to use net (thru proxy) but fb/twitter etc are allowed only thru request/s. So why should i feel guilty dear? And of course i use net a lot for my work too so noone is really bothered how long we use or what we do. In fact when the Internet world was new to us, the IT guys used to teach us how to chat (that's funny isn't it?) and i used to given training on emailing / playing games to some of the office boys (with the consent of boss - he's the director too) and they are now full time employees handling MIS and Modem Operators (ours is a publication group). I think i should thank my office for giving me this wonderful platform and as a result i have some sweet friends online and mylots friends are really inspiring!

If I don't have much to do at the office then yes, I will open mylot to see what is going on and maybe give one or two responds. I check on mylot everytime I'm connected to the internet because my job doesn't really need internet. My boss knows what his employees are doing on the internet but he won't be angry unless we have finished all of our duty. Then the time is ours.

I used to do mylotting during office hours years back, but not now since my family are with me and my busier work. I was more addicted to mylot years back. Now I find it hard for me to start new discussions and find those that interest me that I do not mylot as much as I used to. Take care.

When I had a job I did not myLot on company time. That is theft. You are renting your time to your employer and are supposed to dedicate that time exclusively to him or her. Not doing so is stealing. I never web surf, post, email or make or receive personal calls during working hours.

I have a tab open, ready to go when I do in fact have the time to really get on this website. It might be a post here, there, and there, and every where. Sure does beat just sitting at my desk and just being bored staring at the ceiling, why I am waiting to get busy again, the rare times that is happening. Of course, waiting around for other people can be ponderous so I really need something to do. I'm very good at cloaking my activities that I really should not be doing right from people. It is almost like another sense that I really do in fact have, where I am just going to be able to really to close out of things before someone sees that I am doing it. Still myLot is a good thing to do casually in between things, just to keep your brain sharp. That is one of the key benefits for it.

i am guilty as charged. haha. yes, i do most of my mylotting here at the office. for me it's kinda convenient. also, i use it as a diversion. i visit the site after i finish an article and make a new discussion or respond to a new discussion. i'm not yet an addict to mylot, but i'm slowly becoming one. ;) i have not been caught by my boss because in the first place, the site does not look like i'm having fun, it more looks like i'm really busy into something. haha. i know the idea is kind of cunning but it's really helping me. mylot is kind of my stress outlet...

Hi wonderboy, I was not able to reply with my own box here in your discussion last time, coz one of the superior came in the office. I don't wanna mylot or use facebook with someone around. I use mylot whenever they are out or only with the other officemate who sits opposite me and can't see my monitor.
